Just as the Summer of 2017 begins to wind down, MK is excited to announce the release of his Summer go to track and anticipated new single, ’17’ on Area 10/Sony/Columbia today.

Rotoscope ‘Clean Lines’

At the heart of Rotoscope is Charlottesville-based musician John Athayde. The title track, “Clean Lines” started as an instrumental concept to merge electronica and rock. Piano and orchestral scoring was replaced over time with more beeps, clicks, whirs and guitar samples to give it a more industrial feel consistent with the technological disconnect behind the EP. Much of the inspiration came from the quiet iridescent streetlights as Athayde would drive around DC in the middle of the night. Read more here.
