London duo AlunaGeorge have released their new track “Turn Up The Love,” available today via all digital retailers.
“The creative concept is to release two tracks, one upbeat song and one ballad, to symbolize “light and shade” and highlight the duality of both songs,” says vocalist Aluna Francis.
Last fall, AlunaGeorge released their sophomore album I Remember, which found Francis and producer George Reid burnishing their unique sonic palette by pushing forward into bolder territories and channeling personal experience through a mélange of pop styles. The album featured the singles “I’m In Control” (featuring Popcaan), the Flume-produced “I Remember,” and “My Blood” (featuring Zhu), and earned the duo critical raves. People magazine called it “another set of buoyant bangers,” while Nylon noted its “sensational electro-meets R&B flavor.” MTV said: “AlunaGeorge put the human heart in dance pop.”
