Ticketmaster Partners With LISNR

Ticketmaster has officially selected LISNR as its mobile ticketing solution. LISNR technology converts data into audio and transmits this data through Smart Tones™ – tones inaudible to the human ear. The result is Presence – a way to provide seamless, secure, and easy entrance to events, while authenticating exactly who the ticket holder is.

How it works is simple. Attendees purchase tickets and RSVP for events using the normal process. Once an RSVP is confirmed, attendees receive a Smart Tones™ ticket via email. Attendees open their ticket at check-in, and the ticket plays an ultrasonic, unique tone to authenticate the attendee as they arrive. LISNR technology works offline, meaning check-in can be done more quickly and securely than barcodes or QR codes, without needing Bluetooth or WiFi. So far Presence has blocked all fraud, identified 100% of audiences, and granted entry in less than one second.

Presence not only replaces barcode/QR code ticketing, it also creates better experiences for fans. No bots, fraud, scalpers, or lines – just more memories, shared experiences, and better convenience. Ticketmaster’s dramatic results in testing Presence have lead us to announce that the same contactless ticketing experience will soon be available to every venue worldwide.
