Imagine if you will, a world where cake smells like cigarettes and the Happy Birthday song was written by Gang of Four. And that pretty much sums up Tinkerbelles’ new album, Confetti At The Bottom. Seriously, the vinyl is 12″ birthday cake splattered with cigarette-scented scratch and sniff labels. And if that makes you hungry, it’s out August 22 on Teepeespeak Records. Luckily you can check out the first single “Ashtrays At Graceland” over at Post-Trash today!

December Baby ‘Jimmy Choos’
What do you get when you take four film students, a singer turned impromptu method actor, and a gradually escalating series of passive-aggressive scenes involving a 1950s housewife decimating an apple pie, flipping through a male pin-up mag, and destroying flowers while channelling a truly Hannibal Lecter-esque vibe? It’s December Baby’s debut music video for single Jimmy Choos, and it’s one to watch with an upcoming release date of Friday 9 June 2017.
Dye Hard Releases New Single ‘Change Up’
New R&B songstress, Dye Hard has released her new single ‘Change Up’, the second single on her debut EP “DYMOND”. The follow up to her last single ‘Don’t Know Us’ is equally captivating and features playful but candid lyrics reminiscent to classic 90’s r&b artists such as Brandy, Monica and Aaliyah.”Don’t change up, don’t change up on me never,” the Detriot, Mi based beauty croons on the infectious harmony. ‘Change Up’ is not only an ode to any woman who has experienced the trials and tribulations of hoping a man they like doesn’t change, but it is also a summer banger! Dye Hard is exactly what the industry is lacking as she is a powerful vocalist with equally powerful stories to tell that will resonate with the young, modern woman. She is just getting started and plans to release more singles off the EP but until then ‘Change Up’ is easily a tune to become hooked to!

The intimacy felt in the track reminds me of the vulnerability in Syd’s voice from The Internet. While the full-bodied production reminds me of the seven-piece New Zealand band, Fat Freddy’s Drop.” Indie Shuffle furthers “it’s an absolute belter. A super chilled slow jam with effortless groove.”

The life I am building for myself is home, my childhood and the shared history I have with my family is home, my body is my home and I’m actually just a visitor here.”
Eat The Evidence share their hilarious video for ‘Fruit Of The Loot’

A satirical account of the artistic trappings of the British Empire set to supercharged-ska, ‘Fruit Of The Loot’ is a tongue-in-cheek yet brutally honest address to all those nations, from Greece to Chile and beyond, whose prized cultural artefacts have been pilfered for exhibits in UK museums and galleries. It’s all set to an astonishingly agile brew of agit-ska – all dubby bass, fiesta beats and, yes, that is a slide-whistle solo. The video captures the band dressed as colonialists, visiting the stolen artefacts at the British Museum.

Sarantos is in a summer mood. The response to his new summer pop song “Above the Clouds” has been overwhelming both in terms of fan response as well as reviews. As a major player and thought-leader in the Bay Area rap scene, P-Lo is always innovating. In “The End,” premiered by VIBE and from the recently-released More Than Anything project, P-Lo tells a fragmented love story with a distinctly 2017 twist – the tale is told through the perspective of the iPhone. Each shot finds P-Lo and his girl on a date somewhere in scenic San Francisco, doing everything from sharing a bread bowl to taking a walk down Ocean Beach. With a poorly-timed text notification, the Adrian Per-directed visual encapsulates the iPhone era beautifully, and is a unique take on the classic “love story” music video.
