Video: Precious Way – “Watch Me Go”
With over 74,000 followers on Instagram awaiting her every move, Precious Way developed a reputation in rap circles for her freestyling ability. Teaming up with “A Milli” beatsmith Bangladesh and Tra Beats, Precious Way wanders into a video game-themed fantasyland in “Watch Me Go,” her latest video single. Spitting doubletime rhymes over an 8-bit beat, Precious chops it up with her friends in this bonkers new clip, featuring a surprising cameo appearance from the world’s most famous video game character, Mario, who runs from the cops and visits a strip club. Combining the innocent shenanigans of the Mushroom Kingdom with the violent realism of the Grand Theft Auto series, Precious Way shines through the digital distractions with her magnetic charisma and impressive skills behind the mic: “Watch me go, watch me go, watch me go/Pipin’ it up like I’m Mario/Watch me go run up a check/I call it just workin’ my cardio.” Premiered by Mass Appeal, “Watch Me Go” is a unique, candy-colored visual and an excellent introduction to an exciting new artist.

However, when it was brought to Arthur’s attention that 2017 marked the 15th Anniversary of one of his most beloved albums, Redemption’s Son, he decided he wanted to do something to honor the occasion.
Spaceface’s music video for their single “Spread Your Head” which premiered last Friday via Paste Magazine is a hallucinatory, head-first dive into the pysch-rock band’s Merry Prankster-esque adventures. Soaring Track from The Dream Eaters
Off the new album ‘We Are A Curse’, “Neanderthals” is a beautiful piece of songwriting and production from The Dream Eaters, the project of Jake Zavracky and Elizabeth LeBaron (formerly known as ‘Jake and Elizabeth’). Both share vocal duties on this track, in addition to the anthemic choir effect to the chorus, which lends a nice element to the already-soaring hook. With polished production emphasizing the eclectic nature of quality chamber-pop, from the twinkling choir around 02:40 to the infectious percussive stuttering effect in the first verses, “Neanderthals” is an impressive project from a quickly rising duo with heaps of potential.

Video: Starlito – “Err Time”
Whether he’s rapping alone or teaming up with his Step Brother Don Trip, Nashville’s Starlito brings lyrical fire with his laconic, laid-back delivery. Swapping street stories with MobSquad Nard for four minutes of hookless bars, Starlito celebrates his consistent excellence on “Err Time.” A standout cut from Starlito’s Manifest Destiny, released this past February, “Err Time” finally gets the visual treatment, with Lito repping his hometown Stanley Cup contenders, the Nashville Predators. “Err Time” is filmed mostly in beautiful black-and-white, with colorful interstitial in which Lito tosses dice and Nard shines like the night sky. Manifest Destiny was the direct predecessor to Starlito’s two most recent collaborations with Don Trip: the Karate in the Garage EP and the acclaimed full-length Step Brothers Three. The video follows an eventful Memorial Day weekend in the news for Starlito, who had a brief war of words about appropriation and the Sauce Twinz, among other things, with Post Malone.
The lush, melancholy world of Monk Parker is located diffusely, in the dark, hidden places of America. Empty midday honky-tonks, fogbound north-woods diners, and the shadowy, aging cinemas, libraries & museums wherein Saul Leiter, David Lynch, Bruno Schulz, Anselm Kiefer, Dennis Johnson & Wong Kar Wei yet reside… these are his natural home. Musically, his antecedents comprise a half-forgotten, mournful legion; having studied musicology at Columbia (as well as history at NYU and poetry at Bennington), his touchstones range across centuries and continents (collected beautifully here, on his Lost World Radio).
Austin-based musician Abram Shook is a remarkable wellspring of ideas when it comes to songwriting, which he demonstrated on the recent sun-kissed single “The Hours.” It represented a willingness and a vulnerability not seen on his previous albums, setting the table for the journeys into the deeper, personal corners of his life throughout the ten tracks of Love at Low Speed. While the initial two tracks spotlighted the more serious themes of the album, today’s release of “Device” shows a catchier, more upbeat side of Shook’s songwriting. Today he announces a handful of spring/summer tour dates starting in June as well.
