Annie Goodchild releases the angelic and atmospheric ‘Black Swan’

American born Swiss based singer-songwriter Annie Goodchild releases her latest single, ‘Black Swan’, from her stunning debut EP ‘A Random Physical Sensation’ via Swiss independent label Radicalis.

‘Black Swan’ is an unrestrained demonstration of the talents Goodchild has as an artist, and further proof of her ability to transcend genres. The song boasts ambitious arrangement, made up of Eastern influenced strings and percussion, as well as an impressive vocal performance from Goodchild. Annie rarely sounds out of her comfort zone despite working with unconventional instrumentation and a sensitive personal subject matter. ‘Black Swan’ oozes a strength throughout the composition and effortlessly includes a euphoric middle eight and atmospheric instrumental outro to an already sophisticated song.

CYTOTOXIN: Chernobyl-Themed Death Metal Unit To Release Gammageddon Full-Length

During the night of April 26th, 1986, a world-changing accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. A catastrophic meltdown befell Reactor No. 4, resulting in core explosions and open-air fires. Copious quantities of radioactive materials and airborne isotopes were consequently dispersed into the atmosphere and surrounding lands. The disaster has been widely regarded as the worst accident in the history of nuclear power globally. As a result, Reactor No. 4 was destroyed and is being enclosed in a concrete and lead sarcophagus to prevent further escape of radioactivity. Large areas of Europe were affected by the accident. The radioactive cloud spread as far as Norway.

Progressive Metal Project FORTIS AMOR Reveals Soaring New Track “Particles”

FORTIS AMOR – the melodic progressive metal project entirely conceived and executed by guitarist/vocalist/composer/producer Ryan Duke – will release a self-titled full-length album on May 19. The Deslondes’ “Hurricane Shakedown” Premieres At American Songwriter

The Deslondes are set to return with their sophomore album Hurry Home on June 23rd via New West Records. The 13-song set continues their studied and inventive take on New Orleans country and R&B but also represents a sonic shift with a more electrified sound. Long combining elements of early Stax, Sun, and Atlantic Records with the influence of a more raw, stripped-down sound gleaned off field recordings from Alan Lomax and the Mississippi Records catalog, the band have now incorporated psychedelic flourishes that bring to mind the sonic experimentation of Joe Meek, Lee Hazlewood and The Velvet Underground.
