High-Fidelity Earplugs Becoming The Hearing Health Solution at Concerts

One of the hottest products trending on Amazon right now are high-fidelity earplugs. Earplug sales are booming, with ETY•Plugs® and ER20•XS® earplugs by Etymotic Research – products that protect with clarity rather than muffling the sound – leading the way. “People wearing high-fidelity earplugs at music events actually end up hearing loud music better than those who don’t,” says Rick Carlson, Etymotic’s Customer Service Supervisor.

At high levels, the human ear overloads and distorts, “smearing” the details in the music. By reducing sound into the range that the ear hears optimally, the ear can process it without distortion, and the listener hears the music more clearly. Many people dislike foam or other “industrial” style earplugs because they reduce high-pitch sounds more than low-pitch sounds, altering the fidelity of the music. ETY•Plugs® and ER20•XS® earplugs have a more balanced response, so sound quality remains essentially unchanged, just quieter.

Kenny George Band to Release New CD April 28th

The Kenny George Band define the very meaning of true road-tested warriors. They’ve earned their stripes the hard way, performing an average of 150 to 180 shows a year while bringing their music to newfound fans and followers one gig at a time.

With all that touring tucked safely beneath their belts, it’s little wonder that the band’s new album, Borrowed Trouble, offers a knowing look at life, longing and frayed relationships through the lens of real life encounters, particularly those experienced night after night from stages large and small. Produced, recorded and mixed by Shawn Guess, and due for release on 4/28/17 via the band’s own label, it contains songs infused with tattered circumstance and a trajectory borne by highways stretching mile after endless mile, far and wide, offering plenty of time in between to indulge in reflection and contemplation. The music is underscored by a drive and determination that makes it engaging and enlightening in equal measure — alternately melodic, measured, and even occasionally gritty. It’s a sound that resonates in ways both tender and tenacious, but always flush with honesty and conviction.

Simon flaunts his production capabilities with a clean, fresh and modern approach. A haunting drone at the beginning of the track before breaking into a funk-fuelled chorus of drums, guitar and vocals demonstrates the singer-songwriter’s gifted talent.
