Justin Townes Earle’s “Faded Valentine” Premieres At UPROXX

Justin Townes Earle is set to release his New West Records debut Kids In The Street on May 26th. The 12-song set was produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit) at his ARC Studios, and is the first time in his career that Earle has worked with an outside producer. Kids In The Street marks a decade into Earle’s recording career and follows his acclaimed companion albums Single Mothers (2014) and Absent Fathers (2015). The deeply soulful set is both emotionally riveting and effortlessly uplifting. Now embracing sobriety, marriage, and impending fatherhood, Earle is enthusiastically looking to the future. “Life has changed a lot for me in the last few years,” Earle reflects. “I got married and am getting ready to become a father, and this is the first record that I’ve written since I’ve been married. There’s definitely an uplifting aspect to this record in a lot of ways, because I’m feeling pretty positive.”

Swiss Acid/Psych rockers Ritual Boogie stream new album ‘Middle Age Dust’

TROY NOKA GETS HIS OWN DAY & DROPS NEW PROJECT

Grammy Award-winning Austinite TROY NõKA recently received the honor of being awarded his own day, just on the heels of the release of his acclaimed “Gotta Rep The Town 2.” March 23rd is now officially TROY NõKA Day by Proclamation of Austin Mayor Steve Adler. The awarding of the Proclamation was accompanied by a live performance by Troy before the City Council and the chance to say a few words.

Troy is no stranger to awards. His collaboration with Chris Brown for “Fame” won him a Grammy for Best R&B Album and he has also had the pleasure of working with the likes of Frank Ocean, Miguel and Ciara, amongst others. Other notable credits include Pixar’s “Despicable Me”, Disney’s “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2”, VH1’s “Basketball Wives” and “Love & Hip Hop.”

Troy is also Executive Producing Angel Haze’s upcoming project as well as preparing for the release of his own, “Cafe Society” project.

COUSIN STIZZ ANNOUNCES NEW MIXTAPE & SHARES NEW SONG “HEADLOCK” FT. OFFSET

Today, Boston rapper Cousin Stizz is announcing his new mixtape One Night Only, the follow up to his 2016 EP MONDA, due May 12th via RCA Records. To coincide with the announcement, Cousin Stizz is sharing a new song off of the project titled “Headlock” featuring Offset of Migos and produced by Vinylz. “Headlock” is a three minute track that sees Stizz’s signature drawl providing an infectious hook, while Offset contributes a verse and exceptional adlibs. The track saw early support today from Zane Lowe, where it was featured as Lowe’s World First, and is available now at all retailers.

RICH HOMIE QUAN’S NEW MIXTAPE

Rich Homie Quan – the young Atlanta-based rapper who sold millions of singles as an independent artist – returns with the new mixtape, Back To The Basics. Released today by Motown Records, the collection also includes the “Back To The Basics” movie, which premiered on Noisey and can be seen HERE.
