Today, Grammy Award-winning DJ/producer Tiësto announced the concept for his first ever pop-up shop, which will coincide with Ultra Music Festival and Miami Music Week. The installation, which officially opens to the public on March 23, is a product of the DJ’s partnership with global online marketplace and pop-up pros FANCY.com and will feature limited edition Tiësto apparel and specialty luxury goods handpicked by the dance music icon. In addition to daily retail hours, the space will host exclusive events at night.
The significance of Miami as the first of several locations to house Tiësto pop-up shops in 2017 speaks to the city’s storied history of fomenting the evolution and growth of dance music. Much like the location-specific compilations of Tiësto’s discography, these pop-ups will be aligned with cities of great personal importance to the artist, as well as to the genre itself.

Cold War Kids Debut New Track
Cold War Kids release their new track “So Tied Up” (Los Feliz Blvd) FT. Bishop Briggs today- check out the live acoustic studio session video featuring Nathan Willett and Bishop Briggs HERE.
“Pulling this session together was something of a miracle,” says Willett. “We were between tours and I hadn’t actually met Bishop in person and the band hadn’t worked out any arrangement. We had like 2 hours. Luckily Bishop was so confident and her voice is perfection; the voice of a woman twice her age, so raw and sophisticated … I sorta laid in the cut and watched her explode. This is as fun as it gets – working so loose in a pinch, everybody flexible and down to mess around – and the greatest moments happen. By evening the strings capped off what is now one of my favorite CWK recordings.”

Inspired by the astrological writings of his 18th Century namesake (an explorer and Naturalist) he creates waves of celestial melodies, intertwining them perfectly with crisp, driving beats, swerving through the cosmos, leaving a shower of arpeggiated synths and hypnotic vocals in his wake.

This view of unity is something they may never understand. That is why it is up to us. Train your daughters and sons to be soldiers of love, despite and in spite of this F#$* Up World,” explains Jussie Smollett.

Throughout his decades-long career, Trace Adkins has told his truth and lived with the consequences, so it comes as no surprise that he delivers one of the most raw and honest observations on life on the “other side of 40” in “Watered Down” the first single from his BBR Music Group/Wheelhouse Records LP, Something’s Going On March 31 on “Today.”
In the slow-burning rumination on achieving insight with age, Adkins is fully aware of the adjustments and boundaries, but still maintains his edge, grit and power as an artist. It is the cut Adkins points to as the truest reflection of his career and life to date.

Since KU’s 2013 debut “Feathers”, many things have changed. Proxima-b was discovered, the socio-economical state in Greece started falling apart, a snowstorm brought a hurricane, the seas became tombs, watching a concert became life threatening and his other projects Jay Glass Dubs and The Hydra started taking off, gaining international acclaim. Inside this turmoil and with an aftermath of changes in his personal life taking the lead, he decided it was time for all the material laying dormant in his demos to take shape into a second album.

WHITE WILLOW: Ethereal Norwegian Prog Act Premieres “In Dim Days”
As eclectic and ethereal Norwegian progressive rock collective WHITE WILLOW prepares for the Laser’s Edge release of their seventh album, Future Hopes, major horror magazine Dread Central is hosting an exclusive early premiere of the album’s haunting, “In Dim Days.”
WHITE WILLOW’s Jacob Holm states, “‘In Dim Days’ is a song that takes lyrical inspiration from future city fantasies like Samuel R. Delany’s novel Dhalgren, and movies like Escape From New York and Blade Runner. The CS80 synth, so central to the Blade Runner soundtrack, introduces the song. But then it takes a left turn into much proggier territory. I tried to trip up our drummer with the weird time signatures, but he’s un-up-trippable, unfortunately. The highlight of the song for me is Hedvig Mollestad’s amazing guitar playing — it was all improvised on the spot and she nailed it.”
