Following what has been an impressive month for a bonafide artist to watch, with being dubbed as one of the ‘Hottest New Artists’ By MixMag and DJ Mag in their September issues, LA/NY-based Bobby Nourmand self-released his amazing tune ‘D E E P in NY’ just last month. The track immediately ascended to #6 on Shazam’s UK Dance Chart, reached the coveted #1 spot on Hype Machine’s popular charts, and was supported by some of the industry’s biggest tastemakers. In the meantime, this lightning of a tune was featured on U.K. TV & Radio in the men’s fashion brand BoohooMAN’s most recent commercial, starring a member of music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Comb’s family tree, Christian Combs.
With ‘D E E P in NY,’ Bobby Nourmand cast a spell on The Magician and his imprint. From the very first time he listened to the track, the Belgian DJ/producer – real name Stephen Fasano – loved it for the immaculate blending of genres. This result? ‘D E E P in NY’ is now being released on The Magician’s taste-making Potion label.
