After an incredible 2015, Sophie Lowe has returned in 2016 with her new single ‘MEAN’, today releasing the official video starring a stripped back Lowe. Drawing on the lyrics and the feeling of loneliness, Lowe worked with renowned director Patrick Fileti to co-direct and help create her vision for the clip. The clip provided the simple feeling of isolation as we see Lowe all alone in the world. Sophie saying “I really wanted to capture the feeling of loneliness for the clip. I wanted it to feel raw and captivating in its simplicity. Bringing Patrick and the team on board really elevated this clip to an exciting level. So happy with what we came up with.”
After high triple j rotation of her first single ‘Understand’ and the seductive follow up ‘Pink Flowers’, ‘Mean’ sees Lowe team up with fresh LA based production duo TWINKIDS, combining her signature vocals with their crisp electronic sounds.
