OCCULT ROCKERS AKASAVA PREMIERE NEW SINGLE “THE DEVIL’S TIDE”

French occult rockers Akasava are set to release their debut full-length “Nothing At Dawn” on November 11th, via Triton’s Orbit.

The first glimpse into this album comes in the form of the track “The Devil’s Tide”, which vocalist Louis Hauguel describes as being “about something wicked coming to your way, spectral visions and unstoppable, rising evil…”. Kunal Choksi from Transcending Obscurity Webzine comments: “While there are many such ‘psychedelic’ bands out there, Akasava sound fresh, smooth and even suitably atmospheric. The cliched riffs don’t find a place on this song which remains somewhat unpredictable yet manages to sound catchy. Nothing seems contrived and even a casual listener will find himself reaching out for the repeat button. Although on the lighter side of the metal spectrum, it’s a very intriguing and well balanced song that bodes well for this release.”

WOODES RELEASES VIDEO FOR ‘THE THAW’

Woodes explains her inspiration, “I wanted to shoot on location where it was possible. Shooting on location provides an array of new variables to work with, the main one being the weather, which we had to closely monitor in order to shoot up so high with drones. My favourite part is the final shot. It looks like a movie, a game or a painting but it is entirely natural and unedited. It gives a full scope of the beauty of those mountains, all built in layers on the horizon, covered in mist. ”
