Having recorded a cracking new album, PAPILLON, which won him 3 South Australian songwriting awards, and previously opened for nationally celebrated artists (including Diesel and Jeff Lang), Ben Ford-Davies releases his latest single ‘Vitruvian Man’.

Recorded and produced by Nigel Grummet, Ronnie Taheny, and Ben Ford-Davies at Hiball Studios. ‘Vitruvian Man’ is based on the concept of Leonardo Da Vinci’s drawing of a perfectly uniform man and the idea that all his perfection is based largely on his connection with a universal formula.

American Young’s Solider’s Wife goes viral after a performance on Fox & Friends

In a classic case of “opposites attract,” American Young finds two celebrated songwriters — Kristy Osmunson and Jon Stone — joining forces, bringing together a set of influences that run from classic country to modern pop. The result is American Young’s genre-bending debut album, a self-tiled record filled with everything from entwined harmonies and fiddle solos to digital samples.

“Jon’s a perfectionist and a finisher,” explains Kristy, a classically-trained violinist who crossed paths with her future bandmate at a Lee Brice performance in Nashville. “He works harder than anybody I know. I’m all about the vibe and the feel of the moment.”

New Release from K Camp “LYRIC AVE” On Family Ties

Interscope recording artist K Camp is set to digitally release his second EP, Lyric Ave, on Friday, September 2, 2016. The six track EP will be accompanied by six videos which will premiere on http://onlyricave.com/. Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd is featured on the track “Free Money.” K Camp serves as executive producer with Bobby Kritical, Musik Majors and Zaytoven providing additional production.

Of the release K Camp says, “I have always dreamed about being able to come to LA and bring my whole team with me, so when I felt like it was time to change locations and catch some new vibes, that’s what I did. I recorded the whole EP in my house on Lyric Ave. This is the evolution of me, my career, and my music. We’ve been having the craziest parties on Lyric, and this is where I’m vibin’ right now so I wanted my fans to see it, hear it and feel it.”

DAYA ANNOUNCES HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM

Navy Gangs Release Video For “Special Glands” Via Impose

Last weekend, Navy Gangs premiered their new single “Mondays” via Matt Wilkinson’s Beats 1 Radio show, and they released their new video for “Special Glands” via Impose Magazine. Both tracks are off their debut EP set to be released October 14th via No Roads Records.

Navy Gangs is a pop quintet currently residing in the washed out and overly demanding area of New York City. Singer/Guitarist Matthew Tillwick, Guitarist Noah Kohll, and Drummer Gavin Cordaro began orchestrating music together in 2012 at Central High School in the red light district of Omaha where they failed their junior years miserably.

Los Angeles alt-rockers Goon have shared another track from their upcoming, “killer debut EP” (The FADER) Dusk of Punk out September 16. The “weird and charming” track “Green Peppers” is premiering over at The FADER.

“I wrote this song during a weirdly intense phase of obsession with Taylor Swift,” singer- songwriter Kenny Becker told The FADER over email. “It started off being about her and ended up being about desire in general and how it can easily get to a place where it doesn’t align with reality at all.”

LISA HANNIGAN APPEARS ON NPR’S “WORLD CAFÉ”

After touring in support of her last album, Passenger, for nearly two years, Hannigan began writing songs for her new record. Although she struggled to write new material while living in London, away from home and from what she describes as her “usual anchors and points of reference,” Hannigan had a breakthrough when she got an email out of the blue from Aaron Dessner—guitarist in The National and producer of Dark Was the Night and records by Sharon Van Etten, This is the Kit and Frightened Rabbit, among others. Working with Dessner and rediscovering the collaborative spirit she’d missed in Dublin enabled Hannigan to see her life in London in a different light.

Atlanta’s Ralo Releases Diary of the Streets II, Hosted by Birdman

Few rappers can claim that they have as much street-cred as Atlanta’s Ralo. He started hustling at the age of 13, selling CDs and DVDs, and he hasn’t looked back, eventually becoming a fixture of the Atlanta streets. Always interested in music, Ralo wrote and rapped even when he was hustling. Once he turned his focus onto music however, his career took off quickly. Working with some of the biggest artists in Atlanta, including Future, Young Thug, and Young Scooter, Ralo quickly became a fixture in the Southeast’s rap scene. The video premiered Sunday night on GUESS.com after Ariana and Nicki’s performance of “Side to Side” at the VMAs. Ariana wore and introduced GUESS’ new athletic line in the music video as part of a new partnership between Republic Records and GUESS called GUESS Music.

Kenny G Completes #22PushUpChallenge to Help Bring Attention to the Issue of Veteran Suicide

Kenny G has joined the growing list of celebrities, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Chris Evans, Anna Faris, Chris Pratt and Kevin Bacon, that have completed the #22PushUpChallenge to help bring awareness to the issue of veteran suicide. The #22PushupChallenge was started by the veteran empowerment group Honor Courage Commitment. The group’s 22KILL movement works to build a community of support for veterans and raise awareness for mental health challenges they face. The ultimate goal of the project is to reach 22 million pushups, and the group uses people’s tags to keep a live tally. At the end of his video, Kenny challenges Michael Bolton, Richard Marx and Amy Alcott to show their support by making videos of their own.
