Stoneham Chamber Concert Series Closes 8/4 with Country Band Walkin’ The Line

The Stoneham Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series 2016 featured another year of diverse, highly talented acts – from the jazz sounds of The Sax Factory to The Beatles Tribute 4EverFab, the Stoneham Theatre Broadway Cabaret Night – which in a last-minute switch ended up being held in the Stoneham Theatre due to the weather – thanks to the Theatre’s offer; the always-popular Italian night with Sea Breeze, and the Navy Band Northeast Protocol Jazz Combo in the Chamber’s first Veterans Appreciation Night. On Thursday, August 4, the Stoneham Chamber will close the Summer Concert Series with a band new to the Series, the high-energy country Top 40 band Walkin’ The Line.

RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS EXTEND RECORD FOR MOST NO. 1 SONGS AT ALTERNATIVE RADIO

Red Hot Chili Peppers “Dark Necessities” is the No. 1 song today on both the BDS and Mediabase Alternative charts, extending their record for the artist with the most No. 1 singles in Modern Rock chart history with 13 total. To date, the band has spent 86 total weeks at the No. 1 position throughout their career (also a record). “Dark Necessities” is the band’s 14th song to reach the Top 5 and 25th to reach the Top 10 on the Alternative Chart. Last week “Dark Necessities” simultaneously topped the Rock and AAA charts.

RELIX Premieres “Motivation” from Asheville NC’s The Get Right Band

After being named one of Relix’s “On The Verge” artists, the premiere music outlet has gotten on board again with Asheville NC favorites The Get Right Band. They ran the exclusive of the band’s “Motivation” video, the first video from WHO’S IN CHARGE?, which comes out August 5. The band celebrates the release with a show in their hometown at Isis Music Hall.

In addition to Relix, the band has been lauded by the prestigious NPR show World Café and named “Best New Band” of 2015 by Home Grown Music Network. WHO’S IN CHARGE? will reach even more fans as the band has expanded their sound, which combines clever and catchy lyrics with fearless improvisation, seamlessly blending elements of rock n’ roll, funk, reggae and psychedelia. The album just hit radio last week and is already getting airplay around the country on tastemaker stations like North Carolina’s WNCW, New York’s WBAI, Colorado’s KVNF, and Ontario’s CIUT.

Viola Beach’s ‘Boys That Sing’

Viola Beach’s posthumous debut album looks set to enter the Official UK Album Chart at Number 1 on Friday. The late group’s self-titled first album is currently 6,000 combined sales ahead of last week’s Number 1 from ELO, All Over The World – The Very Best Of (2).

The talented four-man group from Warrington, who were widely tipped for success, recently received a moving tribute from Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin at their Glastonbury 2016 Pyramid Stage headlining slot.

Over Sands new track ‘Heartbeat’

London based brothers Over Sands have announced their upcoming sophomore EP Roman Rooms. This follows their debut self-titled EP released at the end of 2015 via tastemaker Los Angeles label B3SCI, which saw positive reviews from critics including Clash, Indie Shuffle, Shortlist, and The Line of Best Fit.

The 2nd track from the EP, the haunting and atmospheric ‘Heartbeat’ finds the duo searching for ways to reconcile the past with the present through a maze of doubt, hope and surrender. The hip-hop inspired drum beat features vinyl samples, blended with a live kit. Sharing lead vocal duties for the first time there is a deliberate intent to create a contrast between different sections of the song.

Happyness share new single from forthcoming EP

Happyness have announced that a brand new EP, titled Tunnel Vision On Your Part, will be released this September 23rd through Moshi Moshi Records. It can be pre-ordered HERE. In addition, the forthcoming harmony-packed new single Anna, Lisa Calls appears here as the EP opener, with the band saying; “This is our first phone call song and our 5th song in E major. We wrote it one day in the studio in June and recorded it straight away – I think we were going for a kind of Traveling Wilburys thing. Nashville singer and pianist Kandace Springs just premiered her video for “Rain Falling” at Elle Magazine, who praised the song’s “spacious, pared-back combination of a hop-skip-jump vocal line and keyboard.”

Young Dolph – “Both Ways”

Young Dolph is a true hustler and a prolific rapper, constantly releasing new hotness for his legion of fans to enjoy. ThrdCoast Premieres Fir Cone Children Single “Turn Around”

Fir Cone Children is the brainchild of Alexander Leonard Donat from Berlin, Germany who started his one-man-band in 2015 with “Everything Is Easy”, which was called “The soundtrack of the summer” by several reviewers. Dreamy Punk Rock, strictly limited to 2 minutes per song, made for the short attention span of children, because it’s the youngest that are in the focus of this band. Donat wrote the first album for his then one year old daughter, now, with the birth of his second girl there comes the second one: “Firconium,” was released July 29th, is packed with melodies and pop appeal that even children can sing along to, yet the music is lo-fi, loud, full of energy, distortion and love for life, dream pop the punk way, it comes straight out of a garage in the sky.
