EMINEM RELEASES LIMITED-EDITION COLLECTIBLE ITEMS IN HONOR OF TODAY’S ANNIVERSARY OF THE RELEASE OF HIS 2000 ALBUM THE ‘MARSHALL MATHERS LP’
In honor of today’s 16th anniversary of the release of his seminal The Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem is offering a series of limited-edition collectible items that are now available at Eminem.com. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which provides funds for organizations working with at-risk youth in Michigan and throughout the U.S.
The collectible items include an authentic brick from the rescued remains of Eminem’s childhood home that was featured on the covers of The Marshall Mathers LP and its sequel, 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Each of the 700 bricks comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity featuring Eminem’s handwritten signature, and a display stand with enclosure that features a commemorative plaque on the side. All of the bricks come in a sleek black packaging with custom artwork and a description of the project. A cassette re-release of the iconic album featuring a 3-D motion printed cover is also available. Finally, in collaboration with Brooklyn-based mill Good Wood, Marshall Mathers dog tags created from re-purposed wood from Eminem’s childhood home are available in extremely limited quantities.

PIERCE THE VEIL MAKES CAREER-HIGHEST CHART DEBUT
Pierce The Veil’s Misadventures (Fearless Records) debuts this week on Billboard’s Top 200 and Top Current Albums charts at #4, selling nearly twice as many albums as their last release did in its debut week, and marking the highest debut of the band’s career. Pierce the Veil’s 2012 release, Collide With The Sky, entered the Billboard 200 chart at #12.
In addition, Misadventures claimed the #1 spot on Billboard’s Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative and Independent Albums charts, and scored the #5 position on the Digital Albums chart, with nearly 5.2-million streams.

CARLOS VIVES & SHAKIRA IN “LA BICICLETA”
Colombian superstars CARLOS VIVES and SHAKIRA grew up only a few miles from one another on the same stretch of coastal Colombia – he in Santa Marta, she in Barranquilla – but they came home this week to film a video for 2X Grammy and 9X Latin Grammy-winning performer/songwriter/activist Carlos Vives’ new single “La Bicicleta.” The single “La Bicicleta” will be released this Friday, May 27.
“La Bicicleta” is the first musical collaboration from these emblematic Colombian stars. It kicks off with native flute sounds before moving into vallenato and cumbia with pop flavors and reggaeton beats. The song was written by Carlos Vives and Shakira, and produced by Andrés Castro. Although this is Shakira and Carlos’s first recording together, they have appeared on stage together, most memorably in 2009 in support of hostage liberation on Colombia’s Independence Day celebration.

LULL “NOUVELLE”
London quartet Lull has announced their sophomore EP, Nouvelle, set to arrive worldwide, June 24, on PaperCup Music, and premiered the first single from the record, the title-track, via Consequence of Sound, who stated, “Lull’s sound fluctuates between twinkly, crystalline guitar leads and riffs so muscular they could bench press their weight in decibels.”

New Orleans-based singer/songwriter Miss Sophie Lee will release her fourth full-length recording, Traverse This Universe, on July 22nd on her own KingMoon Recordings. This is the follow-up to her 2013 release, Love Street Lullaby. After relocating to NOLA from Chicago in 2001, she released a self-titled debut in 2006. In 2009 she released Tallulah Moon, which All About Jazz called a “…throwback to simpler days, when a song took its own sweet time to develop and tell the story.” In 2012, she was featured in a popular commercial for Audi performing her rendition of “Careless Love” earning her new fans from around the world.
