MICHAEL MIZRAHI ON NPR
Today, pianist Michael Mizrahi premiered the music video for “Harpsichords” on NPR Music. The two-minute video features excerpts from the piece of music of the same name written by composer Troy Herion, which is featured on Mizrahi’s upcoming album of solo piano works, Currents, out March 25 via New Amsterdam Records.
The video is animated in a rotoscoping style by artist Eno Swinnen, a technique that includes tracing over filmed footage, one frame at a time then re-drawing the images. The video was directed by Alex Tyson.

SEAN WATKINS ALBUM STREAM
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sean Watkins has long been known for his work as one-third of the Grammy Award-winning trio Nickel Creek and, more recently, for helming the itinerant and genre-hopping ensemble Watkins Family Hour with his sister Sara. However, in the last year he has more assertively – and impressively – taken on the role of solo artist. On March 18th, Sean will release What To Fear via Thirty Tigers, the follow-up to 2014’s acclaimed All I Do Is Lie, which had been his first solo record in nearly a decade. Bank Robber Industries, the parent of NYC based indie licensing powerhouse Bank Robber Music, has announced its acquisition of UK publishing company Rough Trade Publishing (RTP).
BRI has attained 50% of RTP’s stock, with an option to purchase the remaining 50% in two years. RTP and House of Hassle Publishing, the publishing arm of BRI, will be merging operations and going forward worldwide under the name Rough Trade Publishing. The new RTP will be positioned within Bank Robber Industries, with operations run out of Bank Robber Industries’ New York, Nashville, Los Angles, and London offices, and will assume House of Hassle’s role as Bank Robber Industries’ publishing arm.

DELTA DEEP TOUR
DELTA DEEP, the critically acclaimed blues-based band featuring Phil Collen (lead guitarist of Def Leppard) and Robert DeLeo (bassist for Stone Temple Pilots), in addition to Debbi Blackwell-Cook (back-up vocalist for such artists as Michael Buble & Gregory Hines) and Forrest Robinson (drummer for India.Arie, Joe Sample & The Crusaders, TLC), have been confirmed as a featured performer at this year’s prestigious RIVERBEND FESTIVAL in Chattanooga, TN on June 18th.
As previously announced, DELTA DEEP are set to continue their 2016 Sugar Shack Tour with a run up the East Coast this Spring. Beginning on March 28th in Washington, DC the quartet will hit Philadelphia, Asbury Park, NJ, and Northampton, MA before heading into NYC and Boston. During the tour the band will also perform at Daryl’s House, the venue owned by Hall & Oates’ Darryl Hall. The current east coast leg of the Sugar Shack tour ends on April 8 at the Boulton Center in Bay Shore, NY.
