Gusti Escalante and Robbie Jackson met the first day of college in the hills of Nashville. Both came with ambitions to write songs with new friends, but feared the heavy fog of Tennessee pop-country dreams might be all they would find. By the end of that night, they had written their first song together with whatever instruments happened to be unpacked – a floor tom and a guitar. They proceeded to write a song-a-day for a week, birthing a rare musical kinship – one that cut through the cloud of vanilla country music they feared would smother them.

SARAH JAROSZ TO RELEASE ‘UNDERCURRENT’ ON JUNE 17th
Undercurrent, the fourth album from acclaimed GRAMMY nominated singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz will be released on June 17th via Sugar Hill Records. Undercurrent features a newfound confidence and a more minimalist production, focused on Jarosz’s upfront vocals and most personal songwriting to date.
Undercurrent was co-produced by Jarosz and Grammy award-winning engineer/producer Gary Paczosa. Fans of the Madison, Wisconsin-based collective Natty Nation have been anticipating a new album since the group whet their appetite in 2010 with the emotive and anthemic single, “Suffice.” The song was the first new track since the group’s highly acclaimed 2008 album, Reincarnation. On March 11th, Natty Nation will release Divine Spark (iNatty Records). The album represents epiphanic spiritual and artistic journeys.
