JULIAN RHINE NEW VIDEO
Shocking, hilarious, and always refreshing, Julian Rhine–Brooklyn born & raised artist and board game enthusiast–is here to share his story of Love, Romance & eventual Heartbreak when your girl leaves you
….for a girl.
A songwriter at heart, Julian Rhine plays loud, punk guitar riffs, raps like a machine gun, and sings mellifluously. His imaginative, fun pop beats and emotionally charged, honest, witty lyrics are a welcome change from the re-hashed, mashed-up pop scene of today. The artist speaks his mind, his heart, and his b*lls.
O MER NEW SINGLE
Emerging from the Tel Aviv underground, now based in Brooklyn, O Mer is a multi genre composer. Filling the role of singer, guitarist, beat maker, producer, O Mer’s music is distinctly his own.
This week O Mer shares a brand new single, the synth-laden “Now I’m Alive.” In creating the track, O Mer tells NYLON he “tried to think musically and lyrically in terms of opposites derived from each other, emphasize the way silence and noise are caused by one another.”

“DITMAS”
Mumford & Sons are coming back to the US starting April 3 playing Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Space City itself, Houston (we don’t have a problem), Texas. The four piece will be polishing off their tin stars as they go a-ridin’ into town, a-whompin’ and a-whumpin’ through Texas, the South and then shows in Midwest.
Says the band’s Ben Lovett, “Touring the United States of America in many ways fulfills the childhood dream of what touring might be like. Rolling from one great city to the next, each with its own personality and uniqueness whilst remaining familiar enough at the same time. Waking up every morning with a conversation amongst us about who wants to visit “that” bookshop or “the” ultimate music shop or whatever the various cities had to offer.”

RIGHTEOUS REPROBATES NEW SINGLE
The creation of Righteous Reprobates is the culmination of Rob’s effectively life-long obsession with music, and the belief that there should be good quality Rock – with plenty of hooks and tunes – for people to hear and enjoy. Merging elements of Britpop and the modern rock of bands like Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian with classic rock from the likes of Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Pink Floyd, Righteous Reprobates have developed their own unique sound and aesthetic which is very exciting, interesting and engaging. “Give me something sweet and moreish I can chew” sings Rob (in ‘My Psychosis’) – and this is just what RR have done!

MID AYR THE FILM CLIP FOR NEW SINGLE ‘LETTING YOU IN’
“Letting You In” is the second single from Mid Ayr, a project created by Hugh Middleton while on tour playing in The Trouble With Templeton in 2014.
Touching on some very personal themes, the video for new single “Letting You In” takes the themes of the song and beautifully brings them to life. The band knew a standard clip wouldn’t suffice and wanted something that would beautifully convey the themes of love, loss, and spiraling into insanity after losing someone you love. Rather than settle of something easy and predictable, the band enlisted the help of their long-time friend Luke Constable to answer an interesting question – what if we used puppets?

HORTLAX COBRA NEW SINGLE
The shape shifting creative collective that swirls around prolific Swedish group Peter Bjorn & John has something of the quality of an artistic commune of the mind – they even run a label, INGRID, with Lykke Li. One of the most notable ongoing concerns is Hortlax Cobra, led by PB&J drummer John Eriksson (for the record, Hortlax is a tiny town in Sweden). It is a decidedly more electro slanted project.

ONErpm MUSIC ANALYTICS
ONErpm (ONE Revolution People’s Music), has launched a robust analytics suite that pulls data daily from the major digital music and social media platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to help measure the impact of social marketing on music sales, streams, and audience growth. This powerful tool is provided at no additional cost to ONErpm’s 27,000 artists, labels, and YouTube creators globally.
Within the analytics dashboard, artists and labels can track activity by album, YouTube channel, and country over specified time periods and chart Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram new page followers (and unfollows) for the same periods. The daily reports integrate a greater level of intelligence into ONErpm’s system. By equipping artists and creators with these insights, they can see how their social media strategy correlates to their success on digital music platforms in real time. If there isn’t a direct correlation, they can adjust their strategy. Additional features rolling out soon include more expansive social tracking to capture other types of engagement such as comments and shares.
BIG HARP NEW VIDEO
Big Harp released Waveless via Portland-based tape label Majestic Litter. Big Harp’s third album follows the limited edition single “It’s A Shame” and marks a complete sea change in the band’s approach. Gone are the slow-burners and lyrically driven songs which can be found on their earlier albums. In their place are big, fuzzed-out riffs and scruffy pop melodies floating over sneakily complicated timings and changes. The exuberance and fuck-it-just-do-it-ness carries over to the release itself — the album is coming out only a month or so after most of the songs were recorded. Free from the typical cycle of record – wait a year and a half – tour – write – repeat, Waveless is by far Big Harp’s most immediate recording. The album is available now digitally and on cassette in the Majestic Litter online store.
