Seas of Mirth are a nautical themed, nine-strong crew of rugged reprobates that have been plundering these shores for the last few years now. They have been known for their enticing theatrical live shows and downright ridiculous subject matters in songs.
The lead track ‘Esmerelda’ is a galloping Spaghetti-Western-esque love anthem bound with the energy and jig-like riffage that is present in previous Mirth outings. The video for said track is a hilarious insight into the adventures of Glen Fingle, a forlorn old sailor who goes through hell and back locating his unrequited love. While the full length album is expected be out in December, the prelude comes in a form of a 3 track EP dedicated the trembling torments of love life at sea.
