MASERATI NEW ALBUM & SINGLE

Maserati will release their new album Rehumanizer on October 30 via Temporary Residence Ltd. Noisey has premiered “Rehumanizer II” from the album and said the track “combines their expert musicianship with sounds and pieces straight out of a Flock of Seagulls record. The result of the combination makes the music more than one specific genre. Even in its fun, it shows build up and tension, not giving way to cheesiness or nostalgia. Maserati can take nods from any time period, and make it super compelling.”

REY PILA “FIRE AWAY”

Rey Pila’s August run of dates supporting Brandon Flowers was cut short when Flowers was forced to cancel the bulk of the shows. But the Mexico City quartet have announced they will rejoin Brandon Flowers and his band in the U.S. starting September 2 in Oakland, and running through El Paso, October 1, including Los Angeles the day after their sophomore album, The Future Sugar arrives, September 25 via Cult Records.

BOOKA SHADE NEW SINGLE

Booka Shade, the world-renowned Berlin beat makers that need little introduction, are back with their brand new single “Wildest Thing,” forthcoming on their own imprint Blaufield Music.

Following on from earlier 2015 releases Yaruba EP & the huge track “Line of Fire,” “Wildest Thing” is yet another showcase of their incredible talent. The release explores their deeper and techier signature elements that have gained them worldwide recognition & the experimental synth textures are a nod to their depth as electronic music producers. Their 118 mix of “Wildest Thing” brings the pace down, tapping into more percussive components, creating additional layers to the original record but retaining the catchy vocal hook.

KWAME BINEA “LITTLE LADY”

With a dynamic and exhilarating presence, Kwame Binea has shown that he is the perfect front man. Preparing to showcase to the world their highly anticipated new song “Little Lady,” the New York City based band has plans to bring their electrifying live shows worldwide.

“Little Lady” is about love at first sight and seeing my lady for the first time. She had a flower in her hair and I couldn’t take my eyes off her. I still have flashbacks of that special moment when I look at her sometimes. It was one of the first songs I wrote with my co-writer and musical collaborator Justin Wilcox.”

THE GROWLERS “CHINESE FOUNTAIN”

The Growlers took the phrase “Beach Goth” as an apt descriptor of their music. Sunburned and salty, that term perfectly describes their distinctive melding of reverb heavy surf guitar and Bakersfield-style honky tonk with ‘80s post-punk.

VOICE MONET “DOPE (THAT REAL)”

International emcee with deep roots from New Orleans and Los Angeles, Voice Monet presents the self-directed music video for “Dope (That Real)”. She’s both behind the boards on production for the promo remix and performs live in the video while preparing a tropical cocktail at Nola restaurant Carmo. Voice uses the platform of bartender to expose some of America’s skeletons in the closet and why it’s framework needs a serious review. Produced by Ze11a of Flight School (student of Mannie Fresh), the original version of “Dope” appears on her forthcoming EP Black Maria, dropping September 26.

CHEATAHS FIRST SINGLE “SEVEN SISTERS”

The follow-up to 2014’s self-titled debut – which caught press attention from Pitchfork, VICE, Interview, The AV Club, and many others – Mythologies was recorded at various locations, including a monolithic high-rise next to MI5’s headquarters that once housed anti-terrorist units in the 1960s, and takes its name from the title of Roland Barthes’ collection of essays on semiotics and myth. Inspired in part by the Cheatahs’ gallery-based improvisational noise shows, the album follows the transitional Sunne and Murasaki EPs released earlier this year, and marks a new and ambitious chapter for the band.

WITHOUT NEW EP

Graduating from Dim Mak’s New Noise imprint, the electronic pop brother-in-law duo WITHOUT (W\) have released their debut EP Cheap Touch. The EP features three tracks, each more sumptuous than the last, all occupied with breathy falsetto vocals and airy synths.

COMMAND Q “DOLPHIN”

COMMAND Q aren’t your typical dance duo and they’re definitely not making typical dance music. The two musicians currently teach classical percussion in Western Australia, but when the school day is over the guys return to their studio to produce electronic music that they describe as “a listening journey into an eclectic soundscape of worldly percussion, heavy bass, wild animals, and strange choons.” Listen to their latest single, “Dolphin”, out today on Skrillex’s free-release imprint, NEST, and you’ll understand exactly what they mean.

T. GRAHAM BROWN SIGNS WITH LEROY VAN DYKE ENTERPRISES FOR BOOKING REPRESENTATION

Country and Gospel chart-topper, T. Graham Brown, has signed a booking agreement with Gladys Van Dyke. This came after Brown’s latest Grammy nominated album Forever Changed was released earlier this year. In addition to charting 14 Top 40 Country singles, Brown has performed on the world famous Grand Ole Opry countless times and is a regular on popular TV shows such as “Larry’s Country Diner” and “Country’s Family Reunion.“

“We’re so excited to be touring to support our new project. We know we have a unique show and we can’t wait to take our music and our message all over the country” said an excited T. Graham Brown. He adds, “Gladys will be able to book shows that will allow us to do just that, because she’s one of the best out there at what she does.”

SWISS LIPS BREAK UP

Manchester synth-poppers Swiss Lips have broken up after suffering from “major label syndrome”. To mark the occasion, they will release “Overflowing Futures” on 21st August 2015, a new album of previously unreleased material and remixes. The album is preceded by a free download of the first single ‘Got It Bad’.

Album highlights include the opener “Lost”, a pulsating electro-pop gem, the massive sing-along anthem “Grow; and a remix of “U Got The Power” by Bastille, featuring their vocalist Dan Smith.

Following the break-up Swiss Lips have released the statement:

“We have decided that this is the end for Swiss Lips. The thing we loved the most became a drain, it’s pretty gruesome out there for a small band in 2015. To anyone who cares or cared, we thank you for coming along for the ride, and more importantly for the support you gave, we truly appreciate it and had some amazing times. All ends bring new beginnings, hopefully see you around. Sam, Luke, Tim, Tom & Nic.”

THE WOOLEN MEN SINGLE VIA SPIN

The Woolen Men are three – two Oregon natives and a Washingtonian. They play punk influenced DIY music in the Pac-NW tradition of Dead Moon and the Wipers. More than a sound or style, that means a kind of work ethic – do-it-yourself and do it a lot. The band is happiest touring up and down the I-5 or bunkered in their practice space with the cassette 4-track rolling. And it shows. Live, the band is thunderous and energetic and the magnetic chemistry of the three of them playing together shines through in the recordings.

DANGER MOUSE LAUNCHES 30TH CENTURY RECORDS

Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse, is excited to announce 30th Century Records, his imprint in collaboration with Columbia Records. Beginning this fall, the world-renowned artist, songwriter and producer will oversee a label comprised of artists he is personally signing. 30th Century Records will debut with his first signing, Autolux, who are currently at work on the full-length follow-up to 2010’s critically-celebrated Transit Transit.

Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Danger Mouse’s wildly innovative landmark release, The Grey Album, which dramatically altered the musical and technological topography of the entertainment industry. By fusing a cappella strains of Jay Z’s Black Album with the instrumentals from The Beatles’ White Album, Danger Mouse jettisoned music production into the 21st Century.
