WOLKOFF “CURVE APPEAL” SINGLE
The Talismans EP is a collaboration w/ rising producer Icarus Moth, whose production lends to the spectrum of genres present on Talismans. Each textural coil and anomaly in his hallmark engineering broadens the spectrum of genres present on Talismans, paying homage to world dance music, deep house, N64 sound bites, synth-pop, R&B, and even medieval instrumentation. The resulting sounds pivot on the hinge that joins well-loved pop motifs to a realm more nebulous.
ZEBRAHEAD ANNOUNCE SPLIT EP WITH MAN WITH A MISSION AND UNVEIL NEW VIDEO
Following an epic (and boozy) performance at this year’s Slam Dunk festivals, Zebrahead have announced the European release of their split EP with Man With A Mission.
The first taste of this EP comes in the form of a video for ‘Out of Control’. It was shot in Japan during the band’s visit for Punk Rock Spring 2015 and involved a full-size boxing ring being custom built for the shoot in a huge studio in Kanagawa Prefecture, near Tokyo. The two bands had a great time filming this video, maybe a little too much, given how hung over everyone was the day of the main shoot!

This is definitely something every Hip Hop head should have in his/her collection, so hit your nearest digital retail music store (ex: iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and others) and grab that piece!
GALLERY BOOKS TO PUBLISH MEMOIR BY ACCLAIMED ELECTRONIC VIOLINIST LINDSEY STIRLING
Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, is proud to announce the upcoming publication of Lindsey Stirling’s memoir, THE ONLY PIRATE AT THE PARTY. Having become one of the biggest artist development breakthrough stories in recent years, the electronic violinist has brought to the global stage electrifying and genre-defying performances, backed by Billboard chart-topping hits and sold out tours worldwide.
Co-written with Lindsey’s sister, Brooke S. Passey, Lindsey’s story is nothing short of inspirational. As a child, Lindsey’s family struggled to make ends meet and as a young adult in the music industry, she faced rejection after rejection all the while battling inner demons—most prominently, anorexia. And after a devastating loss on America’s Got Talent (where Sharon Osbourne told her she couldn’t fill a theatre in Vegas), Lindsey had to carve out her own path. Resilience and tenacity along with creative ingenuity has led her to enchant over 6.7 million YouTube subscribers. She has over 1 billion views on YouTube, and recently took home a Billboard Music Award for “Top Dance/Electronic Album.” An inspiration to musicians and fans alike, Lindsey shares with us her story, her personal testimony that there is no singular recipe for success, and despite what people may say, sometimes it’s okay to be The Only Pirate at the Party.
DAN BERN TO RELEASE ‘HOODY’
Dan Bern is a remarkably prolific songsmith, having released two-dozen studio albums, EPs, and live recordings since his first acclaimed album in 1997. Either fronting the prodigiously talented band Common Rotation or as a solo performer, he is comfortable and convincing, funny and topical, with an unassuming tip of the hat to the spirits of Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, the Beatles, and young Bob Dylan – all while sounding thoroughly original and 21st-century. Dan Bern will release Hoody on September 4, 2015.
Bern’s singular songwriting has led to stints working on such projects as the Judd Apatow features Walk Hard – the Dewey Cox Story (starring John C. Reilly) and Get Him to the Greek (starring Russell Brand). His songs have appeared in numerous TV shows, and he recently penned and performed the theme song for Amazon’s new cartoon, The Stinky and Dirty Show.

Said singer Brandon Rush: “I wrote ‘Put Em Up’ a couple of years ago. It’s a personal story about watching my brother struggle with being gay in a conservative and religious family. It didn’t get any better for him when he joined the military. I’m happy that in the past couple of weeks our country has made a lot of progress in granting the LBGTQ community equality, but we all know we still have a long way to go. When we made the video, we wanted to show regular people doing regular things in an anonymous fashion until they came together in a place of mutual acceptance where everyone had a chance to be free to be whatever they were on the inside or outside.”
