SMOKE SEASON “BEES”
The single’s effortlessly sensual and hypnotically rhythmic undertones are only further enhanced by the spellbinding visuals of the music video. In line with the DIY identity that has become a part of Smoke Season’s brand, the pair constructed a one-of-a-kind honeycomb LED light installation for the shoot. The video also showcases projection mapping across an array of stunning settings – including the ocean, mountains and canyons – blurring the line between the beauty in nature and the man-made. The resulting combination makes “Bees” their most psychedelic and experimental video yet.

In fact, hometown Detroit gave the quintet its chief muse, the band explains, “Detroit is a city commonly portrayed as the underdog to most of the world. We were discarded by many when the shit hit the fan, but through hard work, passion, and determination we strive to rise again. ‘Right to Rise,’ though written to mirror our beautiful city is a song that we feel encompasses rock ‘n’ roll in the current climate of the industry. It’s for all the underdogs out there with their sleeves rolled up and their blue jeans on.”
