Rising star Fetty Wap earns his first gold plaque for the breakout single “Trap Queen” [300 Entertainment]. The track was just certified gold by the RIAA for digital sales in excess of 500,000. Since its release, the song has quickly become a phenomenon, sparking the New Jersey rapper’s meteoric rise to prominence.
“Trap Queen” recently vaulted to the Top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart soaring to #6, while the cinematic music video has received over 31 million YouTube views and counting. It’s the #1 most streamed song in the US, holding #1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, #2 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart and is the #7 song on iTunes. That success continues to translate at radio too. It just seized the #1 spot at urban radio— clinching the top in multiple markets across the country.

While recent broadcasts have warned North American citizens of the impending widespread incursion of Portland, Oregon-based doomsday cult, THE BODY, as they invade dozens of cities across the continent in the coming weeks, including many dates alongside the equally dangerous Full Of Hell.
Yet now the threat grows even more ominous as new reports have confirmed even more towns on the list to be overrun during this outbreak of manic auditory punishment, as THE BODY expands its itinerary to a nearly two-month-long invasion. A new list of performances preceding, during, and following the trail of terror with Full Of Hell have been added, including several dates with Sandworm-related act, Clean, which even sees the caravan reaching Canadian soil, and with nearly fifty shows already locked, more sightings are still expected to be reported in the days ahead.

WARNER BROS. RECORDS SIGNS DURAN DURAN TO GLOBAL RECORDING CONTRACT
Warner Bros. Records (WBR) announced today that it has signed a global recording contract with international superstars Duran Duran.
Singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, and drummer Roger Taylor have just completed work in London on a new studio album, their 14th. Produced by Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson and Mr Hudson, it is slated for release in September of this year. Duran Duran first teamed up with Rodgers as a producer on the band’s hit single, “The Wild Boys.” This followed his remix of their first worldwide No. 1 single, “The Reflex.” The CHIC co-founder also produced their multi-platinum album, Notorious. Ronson (Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse) produced Duran Duran’s last studio album, 2010’s All You Need Is Now, which hit the #1 slot in 15 countries. The first single: “Pressure Off” from their upcoming release features critically acclaimed singer / songwriter Janelle Monáe. AUTUMN OWLS FRONTMAN GARY MCFARLANE MUGGED AND ASSUALTED THIS PAST WEEKEND IN DUBLIN
Autumn Owls frontman Gary McFarlane is back home and on the mend after spending the weekend in the hospital following an assualt and robbery last Saturday. The singer-songwriter was returning home from a night out in Dublin’s City Centre when he was mugged and beaten. The injuries are healing quickly, but the recovery is putting a delay on Autumn Owls’ sophomore LP, The Ravenous Part Of Town, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Between Buildings, Toward The Sea.
We at Crooked Houses tried to get Gar to agree to let us organize a Farm Aid-style benefit concert in Ireland called Garm Aid, but he (wisely) refused. Fire can make you feel an a lot of feelings—scared, hot, calm—but it can simultaneously be something tragic and beautiful. For Mideau, fire was the latter, which the indie-pop duo sweetly conveys in their cinematic and symphonic track “Maude.” The dreamy lyrics, inspired by a fire witnessed by vocalist Libbie Linton, came from her memory of watching a house in her neighborhood burn down.
