MONTANA OF 300 “TRAP QUEEN” VIDEO
Chicago rapper Montana of 300 takes Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” and makes it his own banger, crushing the track with his witty rhymes. “We’ve heard quite a few rappers try their hand at Fetty Wap’s buzzing single, ‘Trap Queen,’ but few have recreated the hook as faithfully as Montana Of 300,” said HotNewHipHop of the remix, which features singer Jalyn Sanders. The “Trap Queen” remix has Montana of 300 flexing his ceaseless energy as he effortlessly raps about sticking with the real ones, getting hype with his crew, and his life as an MC, rapping “I got bars like a prison” and “[I] invested in myself just like vending machines I’m stacking chips.” The versatile rapper has been building a strong following with a series of remix videos (“Try Me,” “Coco”) and a recent mixtape release, Cursed With A Blessing.

The Cincinnati, Ohio-based two-piece is best described as an opulent hodgepodge of sounds and aesthetics, including warm analog ambience, busted electronic textures, symphonic and choral bits, and stately arrangements and compositional conventions that recall indie Charlie And The Chocolate Factory as much as they recall the blissed-out orchestral indie-pop stylings of producer Dave Fridmann’s iconic work with Mercury Rev and the Flaming Lips.
