FRANK SINATRA EXHIBIT IN NYC

Morrison Hotel Gallery is honored to be hosting a comprehensive show spanning privileged access photographic perspectives of a true American legend, Frank Sinatra, to commemorate his centennial birth year. The exhibit, aptly titled The Sinatra Experience, will be curated by Frank Sinatra Enterprises and will show from Thursday, March 5th thru Thursday March 26th, at Morrison Hotel Gallery Soho, located at 116 Prince Street. The featured images will be available for purchase.

This treasure trove of an exhibit is culled from a refreshing cross section of sources to authentically capture Sinatra’s spirit, and reveal his journey from youthfully exuberant talent to one of America’s most beloved icons. The Sinatra Experience will contain a series of fascinating self-portraits taken by Frank himself in his early formative years, just before his appearances with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. It will also present a series of rare and never before seen photographs from the Sinatra Family Archive, the Capitol Records and Warner Bros. Records archives as well as images from other notable photographers. Finally, the exhibit will showcase a series of newfound photographs from the archives of the great British photographer Terry O’Neill. O’Neill worked closely with Sinatra for over 30 years, being granted access to the legend back stage and in private. The Sinatra Experience will coincide with the new multimedia GRAMMY Museum exhibition of Sinatra: An American Icon at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center.

SPIRIT PLATE “UNDER THE NIGHT SKY”

Spirit Plate then formed back in Brooklyn, and the songs nearly wrote themselves. As tropical and afro influenced as things got, Brian couldn’t refuse his 90s indie and 60s pop/psychedelic roots – so some of that seeped into the songwriting process as well. But it all happened fast, as if that New Orleans trip was an invisible guiding force channeling through the bands’ soul. Check out what The Wild Honey Pie had to say, here.

Records and marks her full-length and major label debut. The album was produced by Greg Wells (Adele, Katy Perry) with all songs primarily written by Moon herself. “Good Girl is choosing how you want to be seen and understood, and knowing that it is ok to be complicated, unpredictable and confusing.” she explains. “Good Girl is my autobiography and a social commentary on being a girl in this day and age. These past few years I have learned that people are complicated, and try as you might to peg them down as a good girl/bad girl/loser/popular – in reality we are all just beautiful, chaotic messes of contradictions. This album is here to hold space and give permission to those who can’t and won’t be pigeonholed.”

MINSK NEW SINGLE

“We are very pleased to finally be able to share an actual piece of the record,” Mead continues of “To The Garish Remembrance Of Failure,” available for the first time today for public consumption. “As always with MINSK, it’s incredibly difficult to lift out one piece of the narrative and imply that it is fully representative of the whole, but I think that ‘To The Garish Remembrance Of Failure’ is a fitting first taste, something succinct, and something that feels really good to turn up loud. The phrase alone, to the garish remembrance of failure, is exceptionally meaningful to us, and we are proud to share a first glimpse of some of what is ahead. Raise a glass, feel and know the vivid memory of what has gone wrong and what must change… to the garish remembrance of failure.”

Through several performances at famous clubs, “Cyberpunkers” drew lots of interest and ended up being much taked about for both their original look, made of masks behind which their true identity is hidden, and for the originality of their shows, which are marked out by the use of two consoles at once and powered by several audio machines.
