Miami based singer/songwriter Jim Camacho rerecorded a song from his critically acclaimed 2004 release Stalker Songs and released it today. “Ophelia” is now available as a free mp3 download on www.JimCamacho.com and can be streamed from the artist’s Soundcloud page. The video for the track, shot during the recording by Jordan Welch and edited by Juan Davila, was also issued yesterday and can be seen on Camacho’s YouTube page.

The song was recorded and co-produced by frequent collaborator and now L.A.-based musician and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Perdomo, at Capitol Studios during Camacho’s spring 2014 tour of the northwest and west coast. This new version was performed on a grand piano that originally belonged to Nat King Cole. Camacho’s voice was recorded through a microphone that once captured, among many others, Frank Sinatra’s vocals. It represents Camacho’s drive to release a new song every other month this year, culminating with an EP release and tour this summer.
