ELIOT BRONSON SINGLE ON GUITAR WORLD
“I spent a long time trying to get away from where I came from but it never really felt right. This is the music I’ve always had in me,” says the Atlanta-based Eliot Bronson. On October 21, Bronson will release his third solo album via Saturn 5 Records.
Today, Bronson is premiering the driving “Comin’ For Ya North Georgia Blues” via Guitar World Acoustic Nation. “I was really having fun with words and ideas on that one, trying to paint picture of a relationship,” explains Bronson. “If this album was an action movie, ‘Comin’ For Ya North Georgia Blues,’ would be the car chase scene.”

The iconic Birmingham reggae troupe topped the UK singles chart on three occasions and sold 70 million records as they took their smooth yet rootsy musical blend to all corners of the globe. Campbell left the band in 2008 after 29 years and has since released four reggae-themed solo collections with Mickey (who left UB40 soon after Ali) joining him on keys. Five-piece rock band The Funeral Portrait has partnered with AbsolutePunk.net to premiere their new song “Wax Poetic” off their debut EP For The Dearly Departed. The quintet announced earlier this month that they signed a deal with North Carolina record label Revival Recordings (owned by Shawn Milke of Alesana). The six song EP was produced by Milke and engineered/mixed by Neil Engle at Adelaide Recording Studios in Raleigh.

Legendary singer, songwriter, musician and producer Stevie Wonder announced today the SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE PERFORMANCE, a 10+ city tour across North America this fall. Produced and promoted by Live Nation, the performances which are a live adaptation of the iconic Songs in the Key of Life album, will begin in New York City at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 6 then travel through cities such as Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and Atlanta before wrapping at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. on Dec. 5.

Dilly Dally began as a teenage dream shared by Katie Monks and Liz Ball. Obsessed with slurred poetry, epic ballads, and grungy guitars, they’ve been writing music together since 2009. The band itself, however, has taken much longer to become what it is today.
Members have come and gone, but just recently the two best friends welcomed new drummer, Benjamin Reinhartz (Beliefs), and bassist, Jimmy Billy Rowlinson (Mexican Slang), into the project. This new found collaborative energy has ignited their live show, drawing attention from Toronto’s renowned noise/punk scene. Pretty weird considering Monks’ fierce loyalty to a classic pop song structure.
THE EERIES ANNOUNCE FALL TOUR WITH GERARD WAY
Los Angeles-based alternative rock band The Eeries have announced that they will hit the road for a fall tour with former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way on October 12th. The Eeries are currently on the road with New York’s The Last Internationale for a string of U.S. shows this month. In addition, the band will perform its own headline show at Hollywood’s fabled Troubadour on September 24th, which is already sold out.
