YOKO ONO LENNON BRINGS JOHN LENNON EDUCATIONAL TOUR BUS TO NEW YORK CITY
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus (Lennon Bus), the premier, non-profit 501(c)(3) mobile Pro-Audio, Video and Broadcast studio providing hands-on experiences for students of all ages since 1998, comes to New York City for stops at public schools in each of the five boroughs culminating on Lennon’s birthday, October 9. The legendary songwriter, poet, artist and activist would have been 74.
The Lennon Bus is made possible by the generosity and support of Yoko Ono Lennon who will be present on September 15, 2014, when the mobile studio will arrive at Manhattan’s PS 171 to kick off the New York City residency. The bus’ tour of New York is presented in association with the NAMM Foundation and the Amp Up NYC initiative, which is a partnership between The New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), national nonprofit Little Kids Rock and Berklee College of Music.

LAMB OF GOD 2 DISC DVD
The moment LAMB OF GOD fans have been waiting for is here – the band’s feature-length documentary As The Palaces Burn, will be released on DVD on October 14, 2014 via Epic Records. In addition to the first DVD including this spectacular film that the New York Daily News called, “a riveting documentary” and the Huffington Post called “fascinating viewing”, a second DVD will be included that features over two hours of additional, unreleased “making of” footage. In addition to general footage not included in the final cut, the second DVD also includes exclusive material from the original planned version of the film about LAMB OF GOD’s music’s effect on fans in other cultures.

MAX JURY “BLACK METAL” VIDEO
Here is a great music video for Iowa singer-songwriter Max Jury’s song “Black Metal,” which premiered over at Wondering Sound today. The song is a lovely little ditty about a woman who has a particular affinity for the harsh subgenre of metal. The song comes from Max’s 4 song EP “All I Want: The Sonic Factory Sessions,” which will be out October 13 in the US. Since writing his first song at the age of 13, he’s gone on to tour the Midwest and open for Lana Del Rey.

The video, shot by Callum Cooper and produced by Julia Reed and John Hassay, drew inspiration from the Spomeniks – second world war memorials likened to alien art which can be found scattered across the former Yugoslavia and on Angus McBean’s iconic pictures of the Beatles that featured on the red and blue album covers. It’s a roller coaster ride, using intricate camera tricks which make you wonder how it was made.
