Ari and the Alibis are a band out of Sarasota, FL and is making waves in a short period of time. Building quite the following with their worldly sounds fused with jazz, blues and a powerhouse vocal that exudes confidence and is winning their audience over.
There is a nice Latin flair in the cover song, Whatever Lola Wants. Hips don’t lie and this song will have yours shimmying across the dance floor without any inhibitions. This band is a team and the camaraderie is felt in the concise execution of the rhythms. Ari’s voice is an instrument of its own and nestles perfectly in its accompaniment.
It is a 5 song EP that starts with passion and ends on flawless reveries. Big things come in small packages, I’m quite satisfied, but would not mind hearing more. The best thing about this music is the ability it has to put you in the moment. Very rarely do you find a mix of people that mesh so well together you forget you are listening to a band.
After being thoroughly entertained from this music it is easy to see why Ari and the Alibis are taking the music world by storm. You are engaged from the start and hooked by the end and begging for more. Don’t let music of this magnitude go unnoticed. This is the best kind of medicine that gets into your system and cures the mundane by feeling your heart with an appetite for all things awesome.
I rate this 5 out of 5
