SEA OLEENA ANNOUNCES DEBUT ALBUM WITH NEW SINGLE “IF I’M”
Sea Oleena shares the first single, “If I’m” from her debut full-length Shallow, out September 30 via Lefse Records. After self-releasing two gorgeously melancholic mini-albums, 2010’s Sea Oleena and 2011’s Sleeplessness, Montréal’s Sea Oleena began writing and recording Shallow in various bedrooms and studios with the help of her brother Luke Loseth.

Pauker’s latest single and music video, “Miracle of You,” continues his journey of inspiring the world through the lyrics and music that he holds dear. alt-J release the video for “Left Hand Free,” directed by Ryan Staake (Diplo, Major Lazer) and shot on the Guadalupe River just outside of Austin, Texas. This is the second song and first single lifted from their forthcoming album, This Is All Yours, and the song is available to download and stream now. This Is All Yours will be released in the U.S. on September 23 via Canvasback Music in CD, digital and double-vinyl editions.
STATE CHAMPS RELEASE ‘THE ACOUSTIC THINGS’
Pop punk band STATE CHAMPS has announced they will release a new acoustic EP titled The Acoustic Things October 7th on Pure Noise Records. The EP features re-worked versions from their critically acclaimed debut The Finer Things as well as two brand new tracks. State Champs will also be co-headlining the Pure Noise Records Tour this fall. A full track listing and list of tour dates can be seen below.

MAEK ERELLI PAYS TRIBUTE TO BILL MORRISSEY
In life, the moments when “it all comes together” sneak up on you. For singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Mark Erelli, that moment happened one random afternoon in his basement studio. While cutting a few Bill Morrissey songs to work on his recording chops, Erelli ended up recording a profound album that encapsulates his life in music. This September he issues this creative milestone, Milltowns, a loving tribute to his late musical hero Bill Morrissey.
“There are a lot of different themes at play on this album,” Erelli says. “The student carrying on after the teacher is gone; me being the same age now that Bill was when he made my favorite albums of his; the nature of folk music being a passed down heritage; and the fact that this project weaves together my work as a solo artist, sideman and producer.”

Southern California psychedelic savages JOY have signed to Tee Pee Records, the NYC independent label known for releasing landmark albums from acts such as High on Fire, Graveyard, Earthless and Sleep. The fast-rising band will release its new album Under the Spell of Joy on August 19. The follow-up to JOY’s 2012 self-titled debut, Under the Spell of Joy was recorded and mixed by ASTRA guitarist Brian Ellis and features eight smoldering songs that suck the listener into a a surging sea of searing solos and psychedelic swagger. JACK WHITE’S ‘LAZARETTO’ THE BIGGEST SELLING VINYL LP SINCE 1994
Jack White’s second solo LP, Lazaretto – released June 10 on Third Man/Columbia – is the biggest selling vinyl LP of 2014 and currently holds the largest vinyl sales volume of any year since Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy in 1994, according to Billboard. With over 62,000 vinyl units sold, vinyl LP sales of Lazaretto account for roughly 25% of the album’s total sales. In its debut week, Lazaretto sold over 40,000 copies making it the highest first-week vinyl sales since SoundScan began tracking sales data in 1991.

Shot entirely in Seattle, WA, over the course of a week, the “Arrows” video was directed by GRAMMY-nominee and longtime Macklemore and Ryan Lewis friend/collaborator Jason Koenig along with award-winning photographer John Keatley. Koenig previously worked with Fences on the companion music video for “Otherside Remix,” the 2011 collaboration with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. This is the fourth music video that Seattle-based Koenig has helmed for the hip-hop duo, including “Can’t Hold Us” which won a pair of MTV Video Music Awards and earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Music Video.
