LA punks Girl Tears have signed to Captured Tracks’ sister label Sinderlyn. Girl Tears is a punk trio hailing from Los Angeles, California. Kam Andresen, Tristan Ellis and Sal Gabriel formed the band in the fall of 2013 and have been reshaping the contemporary LA punk scene ever since. Their debut album Tension was written in a week and recorded with Wyatt Blair and Jeremy Katz at Lolipop Studios in 3 hours. The songs on Tension, which clock in at a minute or less apiece, cover themes ranging from disillusionment, love, the frailty of life and loss. Although only being together for less than a year, the band has already played shows alongside Coachwhips, The Coathangers and Together PANGEA and scored opening slots for Terry Malts, Upset and Planes Mistaken For Stars.
