Through a trip-hop beat and haunting vocals, Autumn in June utilizes “Weeks” to explore staying true to himself through the ever-changing pathways of life and the ever-enticing pull of love.
To categorize Autumn in June into one genre has proven quite difficult. Rather it be urban indie electronica or indie hiptronica, this South Central rapper turned indie pop artist, if you will, has chosen to traverse the musical realm outside common rap restraints set up in his neighborhood. “THE WINDING STREAM” IN NYC AUGUST 4
“The Winding Stream” tells the story of the American roots music dynasty, the Carters and the Cashes. The Carters didn’t just play the music of their hill country upbringing. They helped invent it and influenced generations of musicians along the way, including one young man who, at first blush, seemed more renegade than reverent adherent. He would be the one to lift up the Carter legacy. – Johnny Cash. The film story of how the family rallied to help him beat back the demon of substance abuse and how he promoted the Carters name and music is one of tremendous reciprocity and love.

HEARTS OF OAK MP3 OF “TUNNEL”
Portland, Oregon-based shoegazer country act Hearts of Oak are celebrating the release of their third, and first nationally-distributed full-length New England (Deer Lodge Records), to be released in the summer of 2014.
Fronted by singer-songwriter Nate Wallace, Hearts of Oak has been referred to as “a singer-songwriter with a druggy, psychedelic backing band,” which is evident on their latest. Delivering a Jason Molina-inspired album, New England is a nine-track collection of songs that owe as much to the Americana forefathers as it does Crazy Horse, Velvet Underground, and even Spiritualized. Breaking free of the standard confines of traditional alt. country, New England adds a hazy, acid-laced trip to the songs found within the album.

IMPERIAL & K.I.N.E.T.I.K. “JUST ANOTHER DAY”
You’re forgiven. Forgiven for thinking that the life of the average Hip Hop artist consists purely of easy wealth, mindless violence and carefree sex. While this may be a legitimate claim for a few, the fortunate truth is that many of us have chosen to walk a simpler path.
The new single from the dynamic duo of Imperial and K.I.N.E.T.I.K. is a nosey glimpse into ‘just another day’ in their world. A world without mountainous piles of cocaine, bullet riddled walls and scantily clad females – just morning breath mist, litres of Oreo milkshakes and clumsily executed Michael Jackson routines. Imperial skilfully serves up a rowdy yet melodic combination of organ, guitar and drum vibrations which are guaranteed to induce screw faces on all those who press play. When it comes to mic check duties, K.I.N.E.T.I.K. bobs and weaves in and out of the instrumental detailing the day’s happenings from sun up to sun down – he even throws in some Jamaican ‘rude bwoy’ patois in a cheeky nod to his Caribbean roots.
