Norwegian quintet Highasakite have returned with a bright new single, ‘Since Last Wednesday.’ The track previews what is to come in their forthcoming 2014 debut album, which the band are finishing up in the studio.
Earlier this year, the band performed a week of shows at their first SXSW and in NYC behind their In and out of weeks EP, earning ‘best new band’ accolades from Pitchfork, NME, SPIN, Paste, Interview, NYLON, Paste, BrooklynVegan, MTV, and more, and were a favorite discovery at Oslo’s Øya Festival last year, where Justin Vernon of Bon Iver tweeted, “Beautiful music from Highasakite…holy shit this was a crazy band! I loved it!” They’ll be touring Europe this fall, and will return to the US for a tour and SXSW 2014.
