You can now pre-order Acquaintances’ debut album on gorgeous clear vinyl (with CD insert). But while you wait patiently for your friendly neighborhood letter carrier you can download a new track, “This Night Is A Trick” from Spin.com. The song, written and sung by Stephen Schmidt (Chino Horde) is a lovely bit of garage rock with plenty of added pizzazz from the veteran quintet of scene mainstays which also includes Jered Gummere (guitar, vocals – Ponys/Bare Mutants), Justin Sinkovich (guitar, organ, vocals – Poison Arrows), Patrick Morris (bass – Don Caballero), and Chris Wilson (drums – Ted Leo and the Pharmacists). Their debut s/t LP is being released on August 6 via Epitonic/File 13 Records.
