SAN DIEGO MUSIC THING ANNOUNCES NUMEROUS CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED BANDS

If you are looking for bands that are buzzing like a beehive, it’s time to head out to beautiful San Diego, California this September 13 and 14.   The San Diego Music Thing (SDMT – http://sandiegomusicthing.com) is proud to announce several critically acclaimed bands to its lineup this year. The musicians hail from all around the United States as well as from the UK and some difficult decisions will need to be made when deciding which evening showcases to attend.

The San Diego Music Thing is honored to host many great acts including re-united 90s critically acclaimed band Medicine which will be releasing a new album in August.   Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon’s new project with free-noise guitarist Bill Nace is called Body/Head and they will be performing at the conference. Other media darling bands scheduled to appear include New York-based Fat Possum recording artists Caveman which were recently lauded by Pitchfork for their self-titled release and Virginia band Wild Nothing which recently caught the interest of NPR’s national music division.   Rolling Stone called Glen Rock, NJ’s Titus Andronicus’ Local Business album “… a hilarious gut-wrenching mess that relocates the Replacements and Thin Lizzy at their most bracing and bighearted to the suburban skate-park diaspora…”   New York’s Ra Ra Riot, Barsuk recording artists, are also a press favorite.
