This latest track “Hum” is the second in a series of premieres for the EP that The Kickdrums have teamed up with Consequence of Sound for. “Hum” is the first track that Fitts wrote after finishing up the writing of his upcoming sophomore full length album, due out later this year. Having used all orignal compositions for the new record, Fitts was nostalgic for the process of “taking old music and creating something new out of it”. The result was a splicing together of eleven different tracks to create “Hum”, which Fitts refers to as his version of “Samplegaze”.
