The buzz continues to grow for Denver band Churchill as A&M/Octone releases a 4-song EP, The War Within digitally today in anticipation of their new self-titled album this July, produced by Grammy award winner Brendan O’Brien and Joe Richmond from Churchill. The EP features the band’s current hit song “Change,” the new single “The War Within” and two more new tracks.
Esquire’s “Band to Watch,” Churchill is led by Tim Bruns (guitar/vocals), Bethany Kelly (piano/vocals), Mike Morter (mandolin/guitar), Joe Richmond (drums/producer) and Tyler Rima (bass). The music juxtaposes elements of timeless American roots, free-wheeling alt-country, rock attitude and nuanced arrangements includes mandolin, piano and guitar that capture the band’s kaleidoscopic sound.
