Bella Union is very pleased to welcome LANDSHAPES to the family, whose debut album ‘Rambutan’ will be released into the world on Monday 17th June, and we couldn’t think of a finer way to introduce them to you than the wonderful video for their new single ‘In Limbo’.
[youtube sjgg3ZNkTu0]With images of Bolivia’s Cholita female wrestlers proving a major stimulus whilst recording, singer & guitarist Luisa Gerstein sought them out, travelling to La Paz and teaming up with director Ian Pons Jewell and and his crew at Studio Murmur. The resulting film is a dignified response to a “Latin American society where being both indigenous and a woman is a double sub-class” – a celebration of these extraordinary women both in and out of the wrestling ring.
