New Day Dawn’s leading lady Dawn Botti wrote the single “Lay Your Head,” now on NME.com and from her new ep “Rise Above This,” about her son not too long ago. Like most of her songs, the themes therein run universal and this instance is no different. Like most working class, rocking moms, Dawn juggles many roles. In addition to writing and arranging “Lay Your Head” and she produced and edited the video as well with footage from recording the song in Nashville and from shows played at SXSW 2012.
