The Luyas are proud to share their most creative and ambitious project yet with the release of their masterful video for “Montuno.”
Directed by Mylène Simard, the video captures the essence of the theme and idea behind the song. Jessie Stein from the band explains: “‘Montuno’ is about daily life just plodding along and the realization that you are going to die, and eventually finding yourself quite dead, and in some kind of heaven. What’s worse, dead you is half horrified at your formerly alive self for being a quixotic fool, but also nostalgic for living, because life was sweet to you, too.”
