The visceral Brooklyn duo, Hunters, is gearing up to tour across the East Coast and Midwest this July in support of noise rock heavyweights A Place to Bury Strangers. Their 2011 EP Hands On Fire (produced by James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins and Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs) is 14 minutes of sonic fury that’s filled with growling riffs and unforgettable hooks. The raw energy of Derek Watson and Isabel Almeida builds tension by repeating lines to each other until it’s released in a fury of reverb drenched guitars and bodies being strewn across the stage. The band has been praised by The New York Times, Brooklyn Vegan, RCRD LBL and was tapped to open for The Kills on their 10th anniversary tour this spring.
