Award-winning singer/songwriter Melissa Cox has released a cutting-edge “one-take” music video without camera cuts or edits for her song “To Carrie Fisher, with love.”
[youtube 8ffKtJNjkLk nolink]Inspired by the band OK Go, which became famous with their treadmill dance video, Cox, from Delaware, combines the “one-take” video concept with the provocative concept of insanity.
“The video is a metaphor for my personal struggle with being an independent musician,” Cox explains. “Long hours on the road, making little to no money, and dealing with problems in my private life — it can make even the hardest working musician insane.”
