In existence less than a year, Arrow Haze, a Belgium group has already worked with the famous Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper, Billy Idol). Their first video Elly Kedward has stirred up international interest with its solid guitar and drum riffs.
How did the band get together?
I am the co founder of Arrow Haze together with Ben Lucian (rhythm guitar). We have known each other for a long time and when we decided to put the band together we asked Stef Exelmans (bass) who studies music in Ghent to join Arrow Haze and make some music. Once we finished our first demo we decided to take the band to the next level and I found on YouTube amazing musician Karoly Alapi who is now our lead guitarist. We recorded our first single Elly Kedward in Antwerp with producer Bart van Lier.

My biggest inspiration is Dream Theater. That’s why I wanted to work with Derek Sherinian who was always my favorite keyboardist. He played on the song Stranger Tides as a special guest. Definitely the new Guns N’ Roses are one of my favorite bands (not the old band). Chinese Democracy is one of my favorite albums. The other guys like very complicated instumental music like Animals As Leaders.
Tell me alittle about your music, any projects in the works?
Currently we are working on our first album. We will release it next year. There are also some plans to do the concerts in Europe (next year, summer). Thanks, Theo Green.
