Acclaimed pianist/singer Jeannine Hebb will release her debut full-length album Whileaway on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Next month she’ll kick off a pre-release East Coast tour.
[youtube VovouExuGxo nolink]Whileaway showcases Hebb’s well-crafted songwriting skills and musicianship, from clever chord structures to soulful piano-driven melodies and heart-wrenching lyrics. Her single “Call Him Out” discusses the need for back up in times of emotional stress, while musically contrasted by cheerful piano progressions.
Hebb, a Berklee College of Music alumna, has been the recipient of numerous songwriting awards throughout her young career. By age 20, Hebb was a two-time winner of Berklee’s Singer/Songwriter and Songwriting Showcase competitions. Among other awards, she was the recipient of the Scott Benson scholarship–the highest honor of the school’s songwriting department.
