Ariel Abshire has given new meaning to “the summer of love” with the trio of singles she’s released this year. “No Great Pretender,” about finally letting your guard down, “Fourth of July” a ballad favoring the nursing the wounds of love indoors over the beautiful fireworks and “Essex” about long-distance love.
