Brian Bumbery – a public relations veteran who has represented high-profile clients across the entertainment spectrum – has launched BB Gun Press in Los Angeles. The full-service agency oversees media strategy for such multi-platinum, award-winning music artists as Augustana, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, Metallica, My Chemical Romance, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, along with independent artists Breanne DÃ¼ren, Sleeper Agent, The Elected (Blake Sennett from Rilo Kiley’s solo project), UK-based painter Charming Baker. Bumbery will also bring new meaning to the “Q” in New York-based management company Q Prime.
Bumbery brings 17 years of PR experience to his new venture, including eight and a half years at Warner Bros. Records where he last held a position as Senior VP of Publicity. In that capacity, Bumbery represented many of his current artists, as well as R.E.M., The Distillers, Never Shout Never, Glassjaw, and Rachael Yamagata, among others. He also created press campaigns for The Danny Elfman & Tim Burton 25th Anniversary Music Box set and the benefit CD Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign To Save Darfur.
