It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Steveshot. Steve Rothenberg aka Steveshot passed away Sunday March 27, 2011 after a long fight with cancer. Steveshot saw music as his escape from the pain & struggle he faced with this disease.
Skope CEO Michael Friedman said, “Today we mourn a wonderful musician, man, and friend. I am very upset to hear of Steve’s passing. His amazing music & spirit will live on forever. I feel blessed to have got to know him.”

Steve Rothenberg aka Steveshot came to me by way of Mike at Skope Magazine, and I thank you with all my heart, Mike.
We hit it off immediately. I knew little of his illness, just that he was most likely terminally ill, and often times we would lose contact for weeks because of the painful treatments he would endure. Nonetheless, when we reconnected by phone, he was positive, funny and hopeful. He was everything I desire to be in a human being.
