JUSTIN BIEBER GETS WAXED!

Justin Bieber has joined the prestigious list of pop stars honored with wax figures.   Lifelike replicas of the singer were unveiled on Tuesday at Madame Tussauds wax museums in New York, Amsterdam and London.   In New York, dozens of Bieber fans were on hand to welcome the wax figure to the exhibit, and many seized the opportunity to plant kisses on the pop star.   The real Bieber stopped by the museum in London to have his photo taken with his wax likeness.   Bieber’s statue in New York will be placed in the VIP room next to Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift and Usher.

CHRISTINA TALKS THE VOICE

Christina Aguilera will be one of the mentors on the new NBC singing competition, The Voice.   The vocalist said that the mentors and judges will be nice and won’t be “tearing people down.”   Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine are also mentors on The Voice, which will be hosted by Carson Daly.   The Voice will premieres on NBC on April 26th.

DEMI LOVATO BACK ON TWITTER!

In late October, Disney star Demi Lovato deactivated her Twitter account.   Shortly after, she quit the Jonas Brothers tour and entered a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. And after checking out of the center in January, Lovato has made strides towards her comeback.   On Tuesday, the young singer and actress reactivated her Twitter account.   Since then, Lovato has been active on the site and has received a lot of support from the likes of Perez Hilton, Kim Kardashian and her loyal fans.  

JOE JONAS TALKS JO BROS AND ASHELY GREENE IN DETAILS MAGAZINE

Joe Jonas opens up in the current issue of Details magazine.   He talks about his upcoming solo album, his girlfriend Ashley Greene and more.   In the interview, he reassures fans that the Jonas Brother are not breaking up, saying they are just taking a break.   He also spoke about his relationship with Twilight star Ashley Greene saying, “It feels good. I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule.   She’ll fly out to my shows – she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce.”   For more, check out MTV.com.    

CLARKSON HAS ALBUM DELAYED

Kelly Clarkson’s highly anticipated next album has been delayed.   It was thought to be released in the next few months, but the original American Idol took to her Facebook account to write that she had just found out that the effort “won’t be coming out until September.”   As for why, she wrote, “That’s the best time to release it apparently.”   If you know anything about Kelly, much like her fans, she’s probably not too thrilled about this.   Learn more at Facebook.com/KellyClarkson.

KATY PERRY’S MOTHER IS WRITING A BOOK

Katy Perry’s mother, Mary Hudson, is apparently shopping around a book.   The New York Post has gotten their hands on the proposal and it’s about how her daughter becoming a pop star has affected her Christianity.   Hudson also writes about how she “disagrees with a lot of the choice” that Perry has made thus far in her career.   Learn more at NYPost.com.

ADELE’S 21 SLIPS TO NUMBER TWO

Well, Adele’s not at the top if the Billboard 200 chart anymore, but you don’t have to feel too badly for her.   The number one spot was taken over by Lupe Fiasco after the “Rolling in the Deep” singer held it for two weeks, but she did manage to sell another 130-thousand copies of her album, 21, and now has moved more than 650-thousand in America alone and sits at number two on the charts.

ADELE’S FATHER SPEAKS

Adele’s father is opening up about their relationship.   Mark Evans told British paper The Sun that he had a serious drinking problem, and that’s why he wasn’t there for her while she was growing up.   He said, “I was not there for my daughter when I should have been and I have regretted that every second of every day to this moment now.”   He added to the paper that he’s “so grateful” that Adele has since forgiven him, and that he’s “the proudest dad in the world.”   Read more at TheSun.co.uk.

JANET SIGNS FILM PRODUCTION DEAL

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Janet Jackson has landed a production deal with Lionsgate. The icon will now have the opportunity to develop and produce her own films through the independent studio. Jackson is looking forward to creating “diverse material.” In related news, she is currently on tour for her Number Ones outing — which wraps on April 24th in Las Vegas.

CHRIS BROWN RESPONDS TO NUDE PICTURES

Last week, a nude picture that appeared to be Chris Brown surfaced. In the image, Breezy stands in front of a mirror taking the full frontal shot. Well, the singer recently confirmed that it is, in fact, him in the picture! Breezy said during a recent interview, “It was an out-the-shower shot” and added that he is “comfortable with [his] body.” He joked that the image was intended for an unnamed female. In related news, fans can grab his upcoming F.A.M.E. LP on Tuesday.

WILL JOE JONAS TURN THE TABLES ON TAYLOR SWIFT?

One of Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends says it’s time to tell his side of the story. According to Taylor, Joe Jonas dumped her over the phone, a breakup that supposedly influenced her song “Forever and Always.”   Now, Jonas tells Details magazine, “I have a right to write about things too,” when it comes to artists sharing about real-life events in a song. Jonas says for his solo album, there will be songs about “different love scenarios” that he’s been through, saying that people “might want to hear [his] side of the story.” Currently, Jonas is dating Ashley Greene of Twilight fame.

SWIFT BATTLING FOR ESQUIRE’S “SEXIEST” TITLE

Esquire magazine has their own version of March Madness with the Sexiest Women Alive 2011 tournament. The voter-decided battle comes complete with its own printable brackets featuring 64 women from the entertainment world. In the Music & Sports category, first-round matchups include Beyoncé versus Gwyneth Paltrow and Taylor Swift against Cheryl Cole. Voting for Round One of the tournament ends Thursday night on Esquire’s website.

DRAKE AVOIDS ARREST IN JAMAICA

Drake recently served as a special guest for Movado during a concert in Montego Bay, Jamaica and nearly got arrested! The rap star slipped up and said what’s considered a curse word there: “blood clot.”   Apparently, the venue has a strict policy against using expletive words during performances. Luckily, Drizzy was only given a warning by the police. According to XXLMag.com, Snoop Dogg and Ja Rule faced profanity charges for using foul language on stage back in 2001.

RIHANNA BUYS A NEW HOUSE

When you got it like Rihanna has it… it makes sense to purchase a 12-bedroom mansion, right? Well, the pop singer has recently bought the multi-million dollar pad that she is calling her first “real” home. Before splurging, Ri Ri explained in Vogue magazine, “I looked steady for two years, and it is way above the price I was looking for, but I loved it.” She spilled that the living room boasts a gun chandelier and added that except for one room that serves as a tribute to Bob Marley, most of the décor is all-white. Must be nice.

WARREN G WAS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT NATE DOGG

With the sad news about Nate Dogg’s untimely passing, we know that close friends like Warren G are struggling with the loss. The last time we spoke to rapper, he told us how much he enjoyed working with Nate (See Related Cut #9).   Warren also expressed that he was sure Nate would fully recover from his earlier strokes (See Related Cut #10). We have just learned that Nate passed away due to complications stemming from the two strokes he suffered over the past few of years. The singer’s manager confirmed to TMZ that Nate’s death was unexpected because he was “95-percent recovered” from the first stroke in 2007.

FAMILY STATEMENT: Nate’s family said in a statement, “We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support. We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie.”

SNOOP DOGG MISSES NATE DOGG

Nate Dogg was one of Snoop Dogg’s oldest friends. The West Coast rapper tweeted how he felt when he heard of the singer’s passing. Snoop wrote, “We lost a true legend in hip hop in R&B. One of my best friends and a brother to me since 1986, when I was a sophomore at Poly High where we met. I love you buddy luv. You will always be with me forever and a day you put the g in g funk, you put the 1 in 213 and you put yo stamp on everybody you ever did it with. I miss you cuzz, I am so sad but so happy I got to grow up with you and I will see you again in heaven because you know the slogan: all dogs go to heaven.”

FACTS ABOUT NATE DOGG:

Nate Dogg’s real name was Nathaniel Dwayne Hale.
He began singing at the Life Line Baptist Church in Mississippi, where his father was the pastor.
He dropped out of high school and served three years in the United States Marine Corps.
Nate Dogg, Snoop Dogg, and Warren G. formed a rap group in 1991 called 213.
Nate was arrested in 2002 and charged with firearms and drug offenses.   He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation and community service.
Nate Dogg suffered two strokes before his death, one in 2007 and one in 2008.
He was nominated for four GRAMMYS, including Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Eminem for “Shake That” in 2007 and Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group with Warren G. for “Regulate” in 1995.
Snoop Dogg is his cousin.
Nate Dogg’s nickname in the entertainment industry was the “Soul Man of G-Funk.”
He made his first professional appearance on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic.
He was signed by Death Row in 1993.
Nate formed his own label, The Dogg Foundation, in 1998.

MICHAEL JACKSON STATUE TO BE UNVIELED IN ENGLAND

According to ESPN.com, British Premiere League soccer team Fulham will unveil a statue of Michael Jackson outside Craven Cottage, the home stadium for the Fulham Football Club.   The late singer was friends with team chairman Mohamed Al Fayed.   Jackson, who died in June 2009, visited Craven Cottage in 1999 as a guest of Al Fayed and watched Fulham beat Wigan 2-0.   Al Fayed commissioned the statue shortly after Jackson’s death and had planned to place it outside Harrods in London, but the Fulham chairman subsequently sold the landmark department store and was forced to change his plans. Now the Jackson monument, depicting the singer in one of his iconic poses, will be unveiled outside the stadium on April 3rd.
