SPEARS SAYS NEW ALBUM IS HER BEST!

Britney Spears told V magazine that Femme Fatale is the best album she has ever made.   The singer told the magazine that her new album, due in stores later this month, “speaks for itself.”   In the March issue of V, Spears said she worked really hard on the album and spent upwards of two years working on the effort.     She added, “The bitch is back and better than ever!” Spears’ Femme Fatale album will be released on March 29th.  

JUSTIN BIEBER STILL ON TOP OF SOCIAL 50 CHART

Justin Bieber holds steady on top of the Billboard Social 50 Chart.   He is followed by Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Shakira, Taylor Swift and Linkin Park.   Adele, who has the number one album in the country, leaps 14 spots to number 23.  

GAGA TOPS HOT 100 FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK

Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” holds on to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a third straight week.   Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” stays at number two and Bruno Mars also remains at number three with “Grenade.”   P!nk is up two spots to number four with “F**king Perfect” and Rihanna’s “S&M” is up two notches to number five.   Jennifer Lopez scores the biggest debut of the week as “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull bows at number nine.   It marks the highest career debut on the Hot 100 chart for the new American Idol judge.    

CLARKSON AND MB 20 JOIN ALI’S CELEBRITY FIGHT NIGHT

Kelly Clarkson, matchbox twenty, and the American Idol top 12 cast will perform at Muhammad Ali’s Celebrity Fight Night XVII on March 19th in Phoenix, Arizona.   The black tie event will be hosted by Reba McEntire and will also feature performances from Bret Michaels and Jacki Evancho.   Halle Berry, Billy Crystal, Kevin Costner and many other stars and athletes will also be on hand at the event.  

ADELE UNPLUGGED AIRS TONIGHT

Tonight on Vh1 is the premiere of Friday Night Alright: Adele Unplugged.   During the set, the singer-songwriter performs a number of her most popular songs, including her first ever hit, “Chasing Pavements,” and her two new singles from her album 21, “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You.”   She also sings a cover of Aretha Franklin’s version of Carole King’s classic “Natural Woman.”   Be sure to check it out tonight (3/4) at 11 PM Eastern on Vh1.

GAGA SPEAKS ABOUT HER SEX LIFE

Lady Gaga is speaking out a bit about her sex life.   The pop star told Grazia magazine that she didn’t lose her virginity until she “was 17,” and that is was “an absolutely terrible experience.”   She also added that she “never actually enjoyed sex until two years ago” because that was when she was in a “proper monogamous relationship.”   Read more at GraziaDaily.co.uk.

GAGA’S SINGLE GOES PLATINUM

Lady Gaga’s newest single, “Born This Way,” might resemble Madonna’s tune “Express Yourself,” but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a huge hit.   According to GagaDaily.com, after being out for only a few weeks, the tune has already gone Platinum, and is atop of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the third week in a row.   Also, with 1.2-million downloads already, it’s the fastest-selling track of 2011 thus far.

10-YEAR-OLD PERFORMS WITH GAGA

Ten-year-old Internet star Maria Aragon had the opportunity of a lifetime last night.   Maria, who shot to fame after posting her cover of Lady Gaga’s song “Born This Way” on the Internet and performing it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, got to join the pop star onstage at her show in Toronto, Canada, which happens to be close to Maria’s hometown.   If you haven’t seen Maria’s original video of “Born This Way,” check it out on YouTube now.

RIHANNA HAS A BILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE

According to FameCount.com, Rihanna has become the fourth artist to reach a major YouTube milestone. Similar to Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Eminem, videos from the pop princess have been viewed over a billion times. Say what you want about Ri Ri, but people seem to love watching her visuals to “Rude Boy,” “Love the Way You Lie” with Eminem and “What’s My Name?” with Drake. Here’s the breakdown:

“Rude Boy” – 139+ million
“Don’t Stop The Music” – 137+ million
“What’s My Name?” – 131+ million
“Only Girl (In The World)” – 107+ million

WIZ KHALIFA: ROLLING STONES’ ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

As Charlie Sheen would say, Wiz Khalifa is “uh…winning!” The “Black & Yellow” rapper has just been named Rolling Stones’ Hip-Hop’s Rookie Of The Year. The Pittsburgh native received the same honor from The Source last fall. We recently asked Wiz how he feels about all of his recent success (See Related Cut #3). JENNIFER LOPEZ SCORES FIRST HIT IN EIGHT YEARS

Jennifer Lopez’s new single, “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull, has debuted in the top ten on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The accomplishment makes this J-Lo’s first hit in eight years since 2003’s number one song, “All I Have” featuring LL Cool J. In addition, her Pitbull-assisted club record is her first top 20 entry on the chart since 2005’s “Get Right.” Don’t call it a comeback.

DIDDY WANTS TO PARTY WITH CHARLIE SHEEN

It’s kinda hard not to like Charlie Sheen. From his crazy antics and numerous rants, Diddy has revealed that he wants to hang out with the troubled actor. Puff tweeted to Sheen directly, “Can u please send me the address to your house? I’ve been dreaming about a party like this all my life #winning! See u soon!” Shortly after Charlie responded with, “Get dressed my man… sending the driver!” It’s currently unknown if the two celebrities ever met up.

PRINCE OWES MONEY FOR CANCELLED CONCERT

SingersRoom.com reports promoters MCD are determined to get Prince to fork over the three-million dollars in damages he promised to pay for cancelling a concert in Dublin, Ireland for unknown reasons. The owner of the MCD company, Denis Desmond, is taking further legal action to collect the money from the icon’s assets and potentially walk away with an addition 240-thousand in interest. We’ll keep you posted with further details.

ASHANTI REMEMBER FIRST MEETING NELLY

In Nelly’s Behind The Music show, which airs next week, Ashanti recalls the first time she met her boyfriend. The singer remembered him asking for her autograph during a press conference for the 2003 GRAMMY Awards. She stated, “He was being sarcastic and I remember writing it down on the program.” She added the way they met “started out as a joke” but wants everyone to know “it took him a long time to get my number.” Be sure to catch Nelly’s Behind the Music episode on Monday at 10 PM Eastern on Vh1.

KINGS OF LEON HAVE A CASE OF MARCH MADNESS

Kings of Leon and CBS are teaming up for March Madness to give music and basketball fans something wonderful. The band’s tune “The Immortals” is the soundtrack for a new music video, where footage of the group and clips from the tournament are intertwined. The Hollywood Reporter has more.
