KE$HA PREPS FIRST REMIX ALBUM
Ke$ha will release her first remix album next month. The set, titled I Am The Dance Commander + I Commander You To Dance: The Remix Album features DJs such as Switch, DJ Skeet Skeet and more putting their unique spin on the most popular tracks off of Animal and Animal + Cannibal, including “TiK ToK” and “We R Who We R,” as well as the “Sleazy” remix featuring Andre 3000 and the unreleased live favorite “F**k Him He’s A DJ”. Ke$ha’s recently kicked off her first North American headlining tour, which wraps in Las Vegas on May 7th. I Am The Dance Commander + I Commander You To Dance: The Remix Album will arrive on March 22nd.
GAGA’S “BORN THIS WAY” VIDEO TO PREMIERE MONDAY
The video for Lady Gaga’s new single “Born This Way” has gotten a premiere date. PerezHilton.com reports the clip will be available to be seen online beginning on Monday at 11 AM Eastern. No official word as to where exactly to watch, but it’s probably safe to assume that both PerezHilton.com and LadyGaga.com will be showing the video.
GAGA TALKS TARGET DEAL
Lady Gaga has struck a deal with Target to release her highly anticipated album, Born This Way, with three bonus tracks. But many people are wondering why the pop star would agree to do that with the retail giant, as Target has had conflicts with the gay community, a group that Gaga often speaks for. She told Billboard that part of her deal with Target is that they “start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they’ve made in the past.” Read more at Billboard.com.
GAGA WAS TOLD SHE WOULDN’T BE A STAR
Lady Gaga was told that she was never going to be a star. According to ContactMusic.com, while at a performing arts high school when she was growing up in New York City, her teachers told her, “You’ll never be the heroine, the blonde, the star. Your hair’s too dark. You look too ethnic.” She said that she didn’t let it get her down, and she replied, “What about Liza,” of course referencing Liz Minnelli, who was actually in the crowd watching the show.
JENNIFER LOPEZ SOARS ON ITUNES CHART
Jennifer Lopez has managed to revive her music career by scoring a hit single with her newest song, “On The Floor” featuring Pitbull. The American Idol judge has witnessed her club ready song climb to the number three spot in the iTunes chart in less than 24 hours. In addition, the track has claimed the number one spot in Spain, France, Sweden, Finland and Greece! Fans can reportedly expect the video for the song to premiere on March 3rd on Vevo.
CEE-LO TO JUDGE NEW SINGING SHOW?
According to EW.com, Cee-Lo is negotiating the opportunity to judge a new NBC singing show called The Voice. The “Forget You” crooner could possibly join Maroon 5’s Adam Levine on the series, where they will listen with their backs turned to the contestants and judge simply on the vocal abilities of each hopeful. In addition, producers are also considering Mary J. Blige as the female judge for the panel. No further details are known at his time.

Katy Perry had a pretty big rant on Twitter yesterday. The “Firework” singer went off on “tabloid media a-k-a filth” for what she called their attempts to “pit artists against artist.” It seems that it happened after some people twisted her words about product placement in music videos. RIHANNA TALKS “S&M” BAN
According to Extra.com, Rihanna is speaking out against her latest music video, “S&M,” being banned in nearly a dozen countries. The 23-year-old singer believed “the ban worked out because I don’t think people would have been that curious if there wasn’t some controversy involved or connected to it.” Ri Ri added that the Melina-directed cut is her “favorite video that I ever ever done and I can’t wait to keep making more incredible videos.”

After closing the Asian leg of her Speak Now World Tour, Taylor Swift posted a new video recapping her adventures from Singapore to Hong Kong. When she wasn’t playing for sold-out crowds, she spent most of her time sight-seeing and taking in the local culture. While shopping in a Singapore market, Taylor came across several waving-cat figurines that she found very intriguing. And on one of their days off, Taylor and her crew got dressed up as Geishas and Samurais for a photo-shoot — wigs and all. Lady Antebellum recently joined Dierks Bentley for his Dierks and Friends Show in California. In their online Webisode Wednesday video series, the trio can be seen rehearsing “It Ain’t Me, Babe” as performed by Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. Once at the show, Dierks heard the group warming-up and decided that they should sing their award winning hit “Need You Now” instead. As Dierks said to the audience, it’s not often that you get to hear a song of the year live and in an acoustic setting. Lady Antebellum, joined by Dierks, also performed “Love Don’t Live Here.”

JUDGE LIFTS CHRIS BROWN’S RESTRAINING ORDER

U2 TO HEADLINE GLASTONBURY: CONFIRMED
According to BBC 6 Music, U2 is confirmed to headline Glastonbury. The band was set to perform at the event last summer but had to pull out after Bono underwent back surgery. The U-K festival will also feature performances from Coldplay, Beyonce and more and takes place on June 22nd through the 26th.
